VS 2010 Program Not Running On Other Computers?

I've just created a program in Visual Basic.NET 2010 Express Edition, and the program works great on my computer. Unfortunately, when I try running it on other computers, the process on the Task Manager for it comes up for literally 2 seconds and then goes away, and the program does not run. Basically, the program doesn't open. I'm not sure why this is happening, and I'm not getting any errors.
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit, and I've tried getting it to work on two other computers, with no luck. The first one had Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit, and the second one had the same operating system as my computer. All computers have the .NET Framework 4 Client Profile installed, which is what my application is compiled to work with. I also tried compiling it to use .NET Framework 4 (without the Client Profile), and that didn't help.

I've created a multithreaded application that copies data from one directory to another, and I'm having trouble getting it to work properly on clients' computers. All computers running the software have Windows 7 and the .NET Framework 4.0 Client Profile installed, which is what I've compiled the program for. I have two threads: one does the actual copying, and the other updates the UI on the program. Whenever I run the program on my computer, even if I'm copying 45 GB, for example, it runs fine. However, if I run it on another computer, it will sometimes freeze the entire computer, so then I have to manually shut the computer down in order to use it again. I have been trying to find out why this occurs, but I cannot. Does anyone think he/she can provide me with some ideas as to why this happens and how I can prevent it from occurring?

I have a program made in vb 2010. The problem is it uses my files on the computer such as different cursors and pictures and I really want to be able to make it portable and stick it on a memory stick and run it on other computers. Is this possible?

When I made a program and tested it on the machine I have compiled it , all works well. I tested them even on my other computer works fine. Every time though when I passed the program to my friends computer or such , I got that common error message "A problem has encountered . tell Microsoft about this problem [Send Error Report] [Don't Send]. I checked my computer here is on XP SP3 with Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed , same thing on my other computer. My friends computer is on an XP SP2 with Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (no SP1).

I developed a Windows application within which I embedded a couple of reports (produced using Crystal Reports 12 version). The application project running fine on my development machine (Windows XP,visual studio 2008, crystal report 2008). i tried this exe into another machine but all manner of problems arose. The main problem is at report loading time, it shows the following error -"could not load file or assembly Crystal decission.windows.forms version 10.5.3700.0 ,culture=neutral,public key token =692fbea5521e1304 or one of its dependencies s assembly the system can not find the file specified."

I wrote this VB program to be able to throw a device we developed into programming mode where we use an ATMEL Flip installer to upload new firmware. I can program one device after another running the application off of Visual Studio Express 2010 or Visual Studio 2010, but when I go to publish this file and run it on another machine, it becomes unstable and crashes after each upload. On those same computers if I run the raw unpackaged program under Visual Studio Express, the system does not crash, and I can program devices repeatedly.

I have developed a program with vb2010, created an installer with installaware and installed the program on my develop laptop and on my normal desktop pc (both win 7 64bits, but program runs on 32 bits).So on my laptop it run perfectly, but when I try to run it on my desktop pc, the only thing I see is the admin message (the program needs admin rights) and than nothing happends (even checked the taskmanager, it shows the program for a short while and closes it even as fast as it opens).I don't know what went wrong, the installer checks the framework which is needed (4.0), but I have that already installed on my desktop pc.

I have made a program.Copied the .exe file from "...my documents...indebug"onto an External harddisk.But when I put the harddisk into another pc and launch the program.I can not run it!It says something like "Missing .NET framework 04.03...." or something.Do i need to install VB on that pc too?Or do I need to update the framework? I'm tryin to run the program on a pc. Where I got NO admin-rights.

My VB.net framework 4 windows program work fine for the users on Windows XP machines if they are in the local Administrator Group. I would like to setup this click once application to run as an administrator so the user doesn't need to be in the Administrator group. The program is reading the"C:Documents and Settings" & User & "Local SettingsTemp" folder looking for files with extension like "emf", "tmp" and "htm" and then deleting the files if they are older than 24 hours. We have a third party application that adds these file and doesn't delete them so I need the users to run this cleanup program.

I'm looking into making just a simple Instant Messenger that will be accessed through the Login program i just made.I'm having trouble just creating the APP window at the moment. Now, my program is compatible with the bottom 3, and with 64 bit computers, the problem is that my program has to have the .NET framework 3.5 installed, which meens XP needs updated and that framework installed, and on earlier versions, it wont install the framework through windows update and the like, also, I cant expect people who want to use it to have it installed, can anyone explain a way for me to make it so my program if its possible, then whatever features may use that framework, if just not calling that code will stop the program from crashing, or if i can make it use older version instead of a newer version framework, maybe only in certain cases.

From all the chat applications I successfully made each and every one of them required me to port forward my router so that the data can be received. Now my question is how can I make my chat program work on computers that have routers with most of the ports blocked, how do traditional chat programs do it? Perhaps The chat program intercepts packets then sends it to a known port such as 80?

I created a program using visual basic. For some functions the program accesses a dll which was created using visual c++. When the program is run on a computer that does not have visual studio installed, functions which make calls to the dll generate an error: Unable to load DLL 'filename.dll': This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800736B1).Reinstalling the application does not help, and when the program is run on a computer that does have visual studio installed, calls to the dll work as expected without generating any type of error.Is there some component that is installed with Visual Studio that I need to attach to my program installation? Is there some way I can create or access the dll such that it does not need this component?

I am trying to write a program to ping computers on my network to see if they are turned on. So far i have the following:

If i use ip addresses, this works fine but i would rather use hostnames due to the ip addresses being dynamic (something which is outside my control). Using the hostname, it reurns "Computer is on" if the ping is successful, but if the hostname cannot be found, instead on returning "Ping request timed out", an error occurs as follows:

I have created a program that allows me to remotely access computers on my network (not all done by me i found some code online) however i want to modify that program to allow me to connect to computers not on my network. How can i go about doing this? My program consists of a client and a server. When the server runs it listens for the client on the client side i enter the IP address and it connects so i can send remote commands to the remote system.
