how to return a word when it's clicked.Basically I have two RichTextBoxes. RTB1 has text, RTB2 doesn't.When a word is clicked inside RTB1 I want the same word displayed in RTB2.I've managed to do it with highlighted words and phrases, but not by clicking on them.

The problem is, once it has found a duplicate item, it stops counting.What I'm trying to say is, it finds ASP 2 Advanced as a duplicate, with its "click time", it finds Dreamweaver Advanced as a duplicate, but doesn't find its "click time"I need to find the items, then add together all their respected click times, for example: ASP 2 Advanced has 5, then 2 So the total must be 7 Dreamweaver Advanced has 1 and 1 so the total must be 2?

View 2 RepliesI am generating report in word(i.e) I am exporting all the data from the database and replacing it in with the placeholder in the word document. While the data is being retrieved from the database if the data contains any enter or new line character it retrieves it with the boxes and hence it replaces the string in the word with boxes such as for eg. abc and then box icon and then xyz on other line for abc...xyz text.how can i eliminate the box icon and still display the data as above? I have tried replacing the character using chr(11), chr(13), system.newline etc but the box icon still exists? Is there any other way i can perform the above task?

View 5 RepliesWe have an interactive windows based application written in VB .Net 2010. It uses Word Object to display documents in MS Word. We have a form with a button. When the button is clicked we open the Word document and maximize the Word Windowstate. When we have the Visual Studio Tool running, the Word Document is maximized and has focus, even if we are running the exe from the bin folder outside of the tool. However, if Visual Studio is not running and we run the exe, focus remains on the original form window and the document stays in the task bar.

All goes fine with development and running on development PC, but when I publish it for offline installation, and deploy it on Client PC having Windows XP with Office 2007, it gives error on oDoc.SaveAs2 line, and program crashes.

At present I have wrote an application (in-house CRM, vb .net 2010) which allows me to send emails under the selected customer & I categorised these emails.As these are categorised I can return data to display email history in my program by using search criteria:

I have a routine where I click on an image in picturebox1. When the user clicks I need picturebox 2 to show a section of the image in picturebox1 centered on the users click but zoomed in. I have the following function which is doing exactly what I want it to do (except properly zoom in.) I have been able to achieve something that appears to be a zoom but it no longer centers on the clicked point.

I am using Visual Basic 2010 and had the application converted from a visual basic 2008. The Imports Word = Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word .Net Reference file, but I thing the trial version of Microsoft Word has a different file extension.

I have to return a discount of either 0 or 10% depending on the number of rental days. the barrier being 5. For 5 or more rental days the discount of 10.00% applies otherwise 0.00. I have one small problem on my app, here's the deal, when I run my app that have a button for "load playlist" and when I click on file>options my app is looking for settings.xml (created before by the same app) on the same folder from where I loaded my playlist. Load playlist button is on my Form1 and Form4, and settings is on my Form6, and this happend every time I load anything, open anything, so my app remembers last opened folder. Is there any way that I can return my path to apps path? I need to mention that this applies only to Windows XP, idk why, because on my win7 it works just fine.
