Visual Basic Database Auto Enter Time?
Aug 5, 2011I am making a local database in visual studio 2010, i need to have one column that auto enters time and date when a new entry is made. How would i do this?

Visual Studio Auto-complete Simulates Enter Being Pressed When Selecting?
Dec 7, 2009Visual studio nicely provides built-in auto-complete functionality for text boxes and combo boxes. I am using the suggest method of auto complete that provides the user with a list of choices filteres by what they have type. The problem I am having is that when the user makes a selection (via the mouse) VS places the selected text into the textbox and also simulates the enter key being pressed on the textbox.In my program the enter keyup event is used to send the text entered in the text box to the a COM port. In order for this to work as desired the user must be able to select an auto-complete option and then add to it so that they can change settings.Is it possible to stop it from triggering that event or to intercept it? I am unsure if it is possible or how to determine the origin of a keypress.

The auto-complete functionality was accomplished through the properties of the control, the only code for that was to generate the auto-complete list.

Oct 22, 2010I am using Visual Studio 2010 to build forms to access databases through DataGridViews.As these tables grow, it would be easier to resize the form to see the whole table.So I try to dock the DataGridView to the bottomand resize the form (The other controls are at the top of the form)This works for the width, but the height of the DataGridView does not adjust.

Mar 17, 2011In Visual Basic I Have A TimeMaskedTextBox Showing the time of day, And when I go to type a different time in the TimeMaskedTextBox the time reverts back to the actual time. the code I have Now is:
TimeMaskedTextBox.Text = TimeOfDay
Is there another code to show the actual time of the day, But be able to change the time in the TimeMaskedTexBox to a time Needed ie: For a Booking later on in the day.

Jun 30, 2009I have a form that contains a Textbox + Three sets of radiobuttons.
my project idea is to store in any database the values selected or entered by the user.
Textbox goes Name.
First set of radiobuttons are the job position - manager - superviser etc....
Second set "" "" the Period (Shift)- day - nite
Third set "" "" The Condition - part-time - full-time
Anyway, my problem is how to insert those values into a database, something very simple such as MSAccess (is possible?)

Mar 1, 2012My problem is fairly simple. What my code is doing to start with is opening the form by loading a bunch of things from a database. After all the questions are done (because it is a questionnaire) it is meant to save the current score and the username that was entered before, for the sake of programming I have hard-coded a username and score however I think because I am using a different command builder it keeps giving me the same error!
(I am studying A-Level so that might explain the simplicity of the code)

Visual Basic - Get A Certain Data From A MS Database And Display In A Label

The name will be displayed in the label depending on the year and number typed in two text boxes. So if typed 2009 and 1001, the label should display name2. I don't have any background on SQL. The only thing I did for now is that I added the database in the data sources and added a TableAdapter.
