I found this code to make links work in a new window of my browser, but buttons will not. When I click on a button, a new window of my form pop ups but the url says, "about:blank". Is it because the attribute is set to "href"?

But the href property is always empty, this is because the active element is the last button clicked. But it is a button I click in the webbrowser control that opens a link in IE.

Dec 18, 2009I have a form with a webbrowser control on it, and I load up a local file in it with some code for a rotating banner (so I can support my app with advertising).The problem I'm having is, it is for example, a banner ad in the small banner sized control, when the user click's it, it loads the new page within the same control, which is way too small.I'd like for any click in the control to load up the link in IE itself, outside of my app. Putting target=_blank so far hasn't helped. Apr 26, 2010For my webbrowser application I would like to have a separate form to display online pdf files.Does anyone know how I would check to see if a clicked page link points to a pdf file and if so open form3 and load the file into the pdf reader component (pdfread) without causing the webbrowser to navigate to the link, this always seems to open the pdf file in a new instance of internet explorer.
I realise that to load the file into the pdf reader the code would be

Jan 15, 2010I'm using a ContextMenuStrip for multiple controls and I'm trying to figure out the best way to get the control that was actually clicked on to open the Context Menu. The sender just gives the ToolStripMenuItem reference, which has an Owner property that references the ContextMenuStrip, but I cannot figure out how to tell which control the click came from. There must be a simple way to check this, right? I'm checking it in the ToolStripMenuItem's click event.

Have One Form Close And Another Open When A Button Is Clicked?
Dec 13, 2010I'm making an equation program and I want to have a main menu where the user can select an equation and then when one of the buttons is clicked, it closes the "selection" form and opens the appropriate form. For now I just have it set to show the proper form (for example, Form3.Show) but when I try to do something like Me.Close() after it, everything closes instead of keeping Form3 open.
