How to bind entire grid in to excel without looping..
i'm using the MVCContrib grid trying to override the start of a row and the end of a row. It's not working as advertised. This is an extract from my MVC2.0 view.

The stuff i put in the begin row and end row functions is being rendered above the grid entirely.(PS i can't just use the attributes as i need to wrap the row in another html element)

The properties in it are all named the same with the columns names in the database.The reason for that is that i want to loop through all the properties within the class and dynamically create an sql query with the parameters in it . Then dynamically create the parameters and add them into the oraclecommand , everything works well until one of the properties ( QTY ) is set to 0 . When it is set to 0 , during the properties loop ,it will check it as nothing and bypasses the QTY property , with that i am missing one of the columns.class with properties , Notice the property Qty it is Nullable(Of Integer) , it is because when inserting data into the database , sometimes i would want it to be null instead of default 0 .

In the excel i have numers and text and "Service Pack", "Processor Speed" and "Numar procesoare(Number of processors)" and the values for these are numers. in the data grid when i import the excel those values doesn't appear, i receive the value "null".

Currently I have a problem with updating my database with values in my Data Grid View.
On my form I have a "Populate" button and "Submit Details" button.
The "Populate" button fills my Data Grid with numerous lines of data.
On the click event for "Submit Details" I want this data to be inserted into a table in my DataBase by looping through each record.

In this case, I know that there will be content in the first 10 rows of the columns A, B and C but what would I have to do if I had a huge document whose size and content might even change from time to time? I know that there is also an attribute ws.rows.count but this always returns a big value like 60000 even if only a few rows are occupied.So basically, I'm looking for a simple way to loop through all the used rows of an Excel file with the possibility of accessing each cell in that row.
how to loop through the rows in excel. I have rich text box that will contain serval line of text i then want the break the text into single lines, that i can do by use richtextbox.line and then use the split method. but the problem when i split the lines how can i put the first line in A1 the second into A2 etc there is no set amount of lines that will be in the richtextboxes so i would need to use some type of while loop i think but i can't figure out how to add a row for each new line any help would be great

Is there a way to save either an array or list of data to excel without looping through the array/list? I know I have read from Excel this way but what about writing? I'm trying to export the content of a data grid to an Excel file. But here is my problem:
1. If I use a Data Grid which was set to allow Adding and Editing of columns ( this appeared the first time I add the control to the form) , the resulting excel file will show all the content of the data grid, except for the Headers ( Column names) .
2. If I use a Data grid which was set to disabled adding and editing of columns, the resulting excel file is lacking the bottom-most row of the data grid content. The Headers are also not included.
I cannot choose Option 1, since the data grid must not be editable by the user. I cannot choose option 2 since the last row is being omitted. Another thing is that the Column Names ( the data are coming from a MS Access File) are not added into the Excel File for both Option 1 and 2.
Here is the code I'm using. I found it from the net and tried changing the values of i and j but still I can't get the result I wanted.

The problem I want to solve is the following:I would like to map the values from the data set in file 2 to the sorted data set from file 1. So for example If I want to sort all the data by id# descending then (using the example from above) the data in datagrid view1 and in datagridview2 should be reversed.
Right now if I sort the column from file1 in datagrid view all the other columns in THIS datagridview1 are also sorted in relation to column2. What I want is that the columns in file2 will also sort according to file1.

But when the grid is dropped on a TabControl tabpage, the ctrl-tab looks very different to the sub above. e.keycode is seen as controlkey {17} I realize that by default cntrl-Tab moves between tabpages. I need to override this behavior. My thought is I probably need a subclass of the tabControl which will pass the keycombo through just as the form does but I confess to being clueless as to how to accomplish that. I tried to override the onkeydown of a tabcontrol subclass and just issuing a return and not and base call to onkeydown if the ctrl-tab combo was pressed but it seemed to see the e.keycode as controlkey as well.

See the picture below:We've tried looking through all of the properties of the DataGridView control, and found some interesting things that looked promising such as the DataGridViewAdvancedHeaderStyle, and DataGridViewHeaderBorderStyle, but none of it seems to allow you to change the colors on it.Does anyone know how to do this without remaking the entire thing with a GDI+ control?
