C# - Bidirecional Dictionary WITH CASE-INSENSITIVENESS?

Question: I use the bidirectional dicionary class I found here:Bidirectional 1 to 1 Dictionary in C#The problem is, I need this - case insensitive (StringComparer.OrdinalIgnoreCase)I wanna extend it to cover the IEqualityComparer constructor.I've converted it to VB (works like a charm), but I have trouble implementing the comparer 'transfer'.The problem is, in the parameters I have:ByVal x As System.Collections.Generic.IEqualityComparer(Of TKey)But the dicionary secondToFirst is of type TValue, TKey, which kills my IEqualityComparer, which needs to be of type TValue instead of TKey.

I want to group items from a linq query under a header, so that for each header I have a list of objects that match the header title. I assumed the solution would be to use ToDictionary to convert the objects, but this allows only one object per "group" (or dictionary key). I have the following object:
countDictionary As Dictionary(of Category, Dictionary(of Date, Integer))
The Class has a Enumeration Property. For the purposes of demonstration, I'll call it MasterCategory.I have been trying to get out an object that looks like the following:
groupedCountDictionary As Dictionary(of MasterCategory, Dictionary(of Date, Integer)
The best result I could get was:
Lookup(of MasterCategory, Dictionary(of Date, Integer))
From:
countDictionary.ToLookup(Function(o) o.Key.MasterCategory, Function(o) o.Value)
Which results in a IEnumerable (Of Dictionary(of Date, Integer)) for each MasterCategory value.However, I need that IEnumerable of Dictionary flattened to one dictionary with all the integers summed (total counts) for each date. I then tried to use various selects and group bys (from numerous stackoverflow posts) to "flatten" it, but my efforts have fallen short.

I have created a Dictionary class (MyDictionary for the example). I am currently trying to pass MyDictionary into a function, filter it into a new instance of MyDictionary and pass this new instance into another method. When I am attempting to create the second instance from the filtered first instance of MyDictionary via Lambda Expressions and the ToDictionary Method, I am getting the following error:
Unable to cast object of type 'System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2[System.Int32,System.String]' to type 'MyDictionary'. I have simplified the example and recreated it in LINQPad and am getting the same error.

When my form loads it adds some handles (using AddHandler) to a sub (showStatus). What this sub does is checks which control activated the sub (using sender.Equals) and displays text in the status label (status) accordingly.For this I use an If...Then statement for each possibility. There are many possibilities and my code get cluttered. Is there a way to do the same thing with a Select...Case statement. I tried: Select Case sender Case tbOne : status.Text = "blahblahblahblahblahblah" End Selectwhere: tbOne is a textbox, status is a StatusLabelIt gives me an error though, saying "Operator '=' is not defined for types 'Object' and 'System.Windows.Forms.TextBox'."Any ideas on how I can get this to work with a select case statement?

Firstly Case 2 runs. Throws exception. And right after this debugger shows that next processed statement is Case Else. Only after Case Else throws own exception Catch block start working. I've never seen this trick. Why can this happened?I'm sure the block is entered once (not like this:first enter hit Case 2 and second hit Case Else).
Update:-To Matt Wilko. Thank you for answering. I've switch to Strict On in Options of VS2010 but nothing has changed. Command is variable, not function. Watch tool shows that on each step Command is the same ( Command = 2).
Fixed. Yeeaaaahhh. I simplefy code to

and change project to Console app. This works as I mention. The fix was in Release mode. I was debugging in Release mode. When I switch to Debug mode everything goes as it should.

I need to add Functions for the Case 10 and Case 13 in this code. The code in each select case needs to be moved to the two functions which then returns the code once its called from the Sub Main section. But I am having a really hard time figuring out what exactly gets moved to each function.[code]I'm not sure what exactly to put into the individual Functions and how to change up the Sub Main section.

I have coded a case statement that changes the background colour of a panel. [code]When the code is run, it works for the case of colour1 that is NOT 1 or 2. However, when the colour1 is 1 or 2, it is supposed to pick a number from set array and run another case statement. Instead, it only picks the last value (for 1, this is 5, and for 2, this is 7).

I have a dictionary of key=string and value=datatable. I use a key to retrieve a datatable and assign that datatable to a new variable. Then I make some updates to the variable. However, I find that the dictionary itself is being updated even though I'm only updating the variable. This causes significant issues when I try to reference the dictionary later. How can I set up my dictionary so that it won't update when I use a value?

dt1.Rows(row)(4)=dt1.rows(row)(4)/2

How to make a dictionary? that left side have listbox, rightside have one picturebox and textbox. [code] For example, if the word was "cat" it would return true. If the word was "jlakfh", then it word return false. To do this i need some kind of dictionary array or something. How do I do this? If it helps, I only needs words with less than 7 letters in them, and more than 2 letters in them. Also, I don't need the definitions of the words. I only need the words themselves in the arary. Do I need to manually input all the words into an array or is there already a dictionary control or something that I could use?

I've got a nested dict like:
Public collectionMain As New Dictionary(Of String, Dictionary(Of String, String))
When inserting a new item:
collectionMain.Add(node.SelectSingleNode("key").InnerText.Trim, collectionSub)
collectionSub.Clear()
On the add my collectionSub is filled with key & values. But when calling clear, the collectionMain.value is empty.
How can i keep the collectionMain dictionary value?
The collectionSub needs to be cleared, it's in a loop for filling.
