I have a program and I get time data from a sqldb and display it in a column in a listbox. What are the proper steps for adding the time as I iterate through the data in the column? I figure I will need to do some conversions on the time to be able to add it and display it as a total.

I have a situation where I have a hierarchy. I'm trying to use LINQ to get all of the items throughout the hierarchy as opposed to For Each loops. I spent some time looking for examples, but most where C# using lambdas, and I'm not quite sure I understand it. I'd like to try to get all of the Items for a specific system, the levels of items could be n-levels deep.
Code:
System
SubSystem1
Item1
Item99
Item100
Item2
Item121
Item3
SubSystem2
Itemx
Itemy
Itemz

I want to be able to do somthing like element.SetValue(1000000). However I need to expand the code below so that I can pass the entire query results into the variable called "element"'

I have a page with a form on it and needs a range of dates. Thus I've placed a number of textboxes on the page into which users can type dates. When the user clicks the save button I want to trigger a LINQ update to the SQL Server...all the rows already exist, so I'm just updating existing data.
For example, lets say my table looks like this:
Column Names: Description dateValue
Column Values:
Birthdate 1/1/1990
Anniversary 1/10/1992
Death 1/1/1993
I want to do something like this:
hupdate.Description("Birthdate").dateValue = TextBox1.Text
hupdate.Description("Anniversary").dateValue = TextBox2.Text
hupdate.Description("Death").dateValue = TextBox3.Text
hconfig.SubmitChanges()
Is there a way to do this with LINQ?

I have a DataGridView binded to a DataSet that I created using the Visual Studio Data Source Configuration Wizard. Everything works good except for one problem.I have two columns, Modified_By and Date_Modified that should be inserted or updated as the user and the current date, respectively. So every row in the DataGridView should have the same value for these two columns. So far, I have thought of two ways to get this working, but neither one seems very clean. The first idea is to make a custom Fill method that takes as parameters the user and the current date and then add them as extra columns in the select method. For example

I have a Dynamic DataTable Created at runtime. The Setup is like so
Id | Name | Age
-----------------
3 | Mike | 21
6 | John | 43
8 | Sara | 34
What I am trying to do is come up with a linq statement I could use to find and update specific rows.
Such as a statement to change AGE to '33' WHERE ID = '3'
My code So far is:
-[VB.NET]-
Dim MyRow As DataRow = From column In MyTable.Rows Where column("Id") = 3
MyRow(0)("Age") = 33
But this is not updating my DataTable entry.

Giving it a go at LINQ to SQL.
Tools: VB2008 Express to SQL Compact Northwind DB
I am doing the following walkthrough: [URL]. I did the walkthrough step by step although I get the following message ...... The column name is not valid. [ Node name (if any) = t0,Column name = CustomerID ] ....... on the first line of the following code.
' Execute the query.
For Each custObj In custQuery
msg &= String.Format(custObj.CustomerID & vbCrLf)
Next
I have enabled all that the walkthrough indicates but to no avail.

Right above you can see my First! linq attempt! And here comes my first question.
How can i select more than one column in a linq query in vb.net?
For example... Select c.Attribute(UniStr) AND c.Attribute(OriginY)
