C# - My Post Request - Provides A High Bit Rate Quantum Number Generator Web Service
May 18, 2011
the page at [URL] provides a high bit rate quantum number generator web service and I'm trying to access that service.
However I could not manage to do so.
This is my current code:
CODE:
I'm having 403 forbidden error when I try to do a get request on [URL].
After debugging abit, I've realised that even though I've supplied a valid username and password, the response html that was sent after my POST request indicate that I was actually not logon to the system after my POST request.
Does anyone know why is this the case, and how may I work around it to call the service? Bump. can anyone get this to work or is the site just a scam?
I am trying to find out if it possible to create a windows form that will post an XML file using a simple HTML Form? I have the HTML page that will be used to post the XML file already created, what i wanted to be able to do was enter the XML into a text box on my form which the user can post. When the XML is entered and the button POST is hit then the XML is added to the HTML page that i have already made and posted to the webservice. Is this possible?
What i also want to be able to do is display the XML response received following the post, to update you if the post has been successful, is this possible?
I need to write a program that requests a high number and a low number from the user, then the program searches the array and finds all elements within the two numbers. The program is used to search for past presidents, so if I type 43 for low number and 44 for high number, the program will display:
George Walker Bush Barack Hussein Obama
I think I have an idea of how to search up to a certain point, but not to stop at a certain point....Here is the code that I have for that particular sub procedure:
Quote:
Private Sub btnDisplayRqst_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnDisplayRqst.Click Dim sr As IO.StreamReader = IO.File.OpenText("PRESIDENTS.TXT")
I was trying to use the web service for currency rate to get the rate, although I have already add web reference to [url] but I still do not know how to retrieve it from there. I'm using asp.net vb.
I want to make two request to submit a form of another web application. How can I create post and get request. And how can I use secure this.PS. I don't want to create ajax request. Just httpwebrequest.
I am working on a windows service and I am looking for a better solution to an issue with high CPU usage. The service needs to only 'run' every minute or two to gather some db data and do some light processing. Right now I have it running in a separate thread in the service application using the BackgroundWorker. In that thread, I do a Thread.Sleep(30000) after each db iteration. This has taken care of the CPU issue (obvious) but I am let thinking there is a better way. This works fine, I can still cancel the service without issue etc. however it feels wrong. Blocking that thread seems bad.
That being said, what is the best way to actually do this? I don't want the loop to just constantly run, I only want it to do work on a somewhat regular time frame. Would running this in a timer_elapsed event handler be a better way?
I'm trying to use the web request class in vb.net to post some xml. On the reciving end, I keep getting an internal server error with the message: Missing Soap action header". I did some reasearch and saw that a firewall can strip out the soap action header so I tried running it with no firewall and got the same result. I tried adding a soap action header using the header command, and that didn't even get to the server to receive an error message.
I want to create an integer sequence in each page request. Here is my code:
Public Class Test Inherits System.Web.UI.Page Private Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load[code]....
My requirements are just created the sequence using VB.NET code and of no database help. The sequence must be started at 1 and incremented by 1. My attempt to solve this is by using STATIC variable within the Page_Load which can retain the sequence value. But someone told me that my approach is risky because it's not thread safe. Is that true? Or how do I create a sequence for each request that is free from any problems be it thread safe or others?
UPDATE: I attempted to solve the problem another way. But I'm not sure the thread safety of my new solution. Here is my code, the call to Singleton.Instance.Sequence function will generate a new sequence value:
Public NotInheritable Class Singleton Private Sub New() End Sub[code]......
I want to develop a program that uses an online API, with GET and POST requests, and I want to know how to make the requests within the program (without the user seeing a web page), and then download the results into the program so I can parse them
I am trying to send a POST request to add some content to an API box. The rules are that the body format should be XML(values must be XML-escaped), HTTP Method (post), requires authentication(yes), request content(content-type: "application/xml". [code] Best practice is to incrementally add and remove changes to your entry list instead of deleting/recreating the entire list each time a change is necessary.New entries are placed at the top of the queue for polling and are processed in a LIFO manner.
i wanted to create a random number generator that iterates through a series of number between an upper and lower bound. say between 1 and 100. Basically I want the number generator to pick the numbers randomly and then display them until all 100 numbers are picked without any duplicates. so thats easy I can code that. But what I don't know is how to show those numbers in the order they are generated on a windows form. So i have basically a variable that I will let be changed 100 times (or however many times I want, I don't want their to be a size constraint just using 100 as an example) and each time the number is generated I want it displayed on screen (in a list or something not sure what. Hopefully some type of scrollable list) and each successive number also to be displayed in same format beneath it so that I can see the list in its entirety. What type of form control do i use for that? I could do messagebox.show for each iteration but then user is required to hit ok after each iteration and that would obviously be a bad idea if user selected a large number to work through. Anyways, code isn't exactly necessary just point me in the right direction, i.e.what control (if any) to use.how to format the change in data?
is have a bot at the moment which basicly uses the browser to get around things and its really slow as the process which i need doing is repetitive. i need a really quick method. Can any1 post a sample script where it
Downloads HTTP source to text file or temp text box edits source strings as needed post to server (submit)
I'm creating an app that edit a post in a ipforum with httpwebrequest and httpwebresponse in vb.net.I use fiddler2 to get the post forms.I successfully create the code to connect to the site the authentication works well and i don't found problems. But to edit a post i don't find how to do it this is the request of the site taken from fiddler:
I have used the WinHttp.WinHttpRequest object in VB6 to make HTTP POST requests many times. It works great: .Open the URL, then .SetRequestHeader (however many are needed) and then .Send the body. The .Send method makes the actual connection and sends everything to the server at once. How to I emulate this behavior in .NET? The examples I've tried with System.Net.HttpWebRequest open a stream with .GetRequestStream() and then write the body to the stream. Unfortunately, the server is responding immediately to the .GetRequestStream method and therefore never sees the POST body.I am obviously trying to connect up some legacy stuff here, but am having a hard time Googling the problem or finding another approach in .NET.
When you search on google most of the examples are very vague, hopefully this thread can make it to the top and will help someone looking for the same info.to explain the code what it does is create a long string by concatenating all the values together stores it in the variable finalString and then hashes the string using the SHA5 algorithm. Then its supposed to send the string (finalString) as a post request to the url.The server im sending it to reads it this way and sends a response. [code]
I'd like to send a POST request to login to a website with my account. For an example, how would I login to this website using HttpWebRequest.. [URL]. It's for an application I'm building for my clan where you have to have an account on the forum to open the application, so if the login works it opens.
I have this program generating a firstname and lastname from a file. When I run this program I enter information in three textboxes. The first two are the salary low and high(salary1.text, salary2.text) and the last one is the number of "copies"(copies.text) that I want.. When I put a number such as 10 in the text box it outputs some of the same names. The firstname file has around 100 records and the lastname file has about 1000 records Why is it generating the same name The problem is even worse if I do something like 1000 copies.. it outputs the same thing 8 times and then does something different another 8 times
Public Class Form1 Dim sex As String Function randomfirstname() Dim infile As IO.StreamReader
I'm trying to port an old VB.NET application to an Android application, but due to my lack of Java experience I am unable to find this one out. I have tried multiple solutions but to no avail. The idea is basically to do a POST request to 'url...' and getting the response cookies.[code]
i am trying to build, or better edit, my own HTTP Post Request Source Code. The main purpose if it is working, and i receive the data successfully but when i try to put a progressbar with it, it starts getting sticky, because the ContentLength will always stay -1. [Code]
I am trying to send an HTTP Request to a server using a POST method. The problem comes from the PostData, which needs to be in Bytes form to be used by the UploadData function.
i am trying to indicate if the tax is at single rate (18%) or the family rate of (15%)This is what i got so far i could do the rest but just cant do the Mstatus part.
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click Dim Name As String 'Name of employee Dim hrWage As Double 'Hourly wage Dim hrsWorked As Double'Hours worked this week
I was wanting to add a random number generator to an app of mine and I have the code that creates it: Private Function RandomNumber(ByVal min As Integer, ByVal max As Integer) As Integer Dim random As New Random() Return random.Next(min, max) End Function 'RandomNumber
What I can't get to work correctly is the following. I have a textbox for the min and max. The way I have it setup is when it generates it I have a MessageBox show it but it pulls the same number a few times in a row. How do I make it pull a different number each time until all numbers a pulled. I then want to add them to a listbox as each one is generated.
I need to create a multi dimensional array comprised of random numbers between 1 and 4. The reason why I need a mutidimensional array is because each number needs to be associated with a random letter of F or N. [ F or N are really Indicators or whether I should show the user Feedback on their results in the case of F. Or not show them Feedback in the case of N.] So within this array 2 random numbers will be associated with random F's. And 2 will be associated with random N's. For example the array should look like (1,F 2,F 3,N 4,N) or (3,N 2,F 1,N 4,F). The reason why I need this random array is because during the course of my application being ran 4 times (which represents the numbers) I want to insure that every time N is done 2 times and F is done 2 times. This is all to make sure that each Number 1-4 after 100 times the application is ran has the same amount of F's and N's. I was also wondering if someone knows a way to store how many times the application has been ran in asp.net so that I can recreate another random string after 4 application runs.
i already ahve a random number generator. the question is this, how do i go to the next number in the sequence when the random number generator is run.
