I did a search on capturing screen shots in vb.net amd I was wondering if there is a straight forward way to capture the active window? Or do I need to first get the handle of the active window, get the position and size and then capture it? I do not want to use any type of sendkeys method or use the clipboard. I want to save it to jpg format.
I'm working on a UNO (Msn-based) online gaming tool - you know the card game. It's the second version with more features for UNO fans. I would like to get the screenshot function to work.
It's just as simple as this: The UNO main window The screenshot viewer shows the screenshot of the active window (which appears by clicking on "Screenshot"): (This form is named as "Screenshot", the Picture Box "myPictureBox")
My question is, which code do I need to bind these functions. I think the pictures are describing this good enough. (The "save screenshot"-button is ToolStripButton1, the button for making screenshot is ToolStripButton10).
I found that code somewhere and I find it quite useful but I would like to find a way to make it work so it capture only the given window target. Maybe with a processID or Window Name. Even if that window is not active. I do not want to make that window active but want to get a screen capture like if I was doing Alt+PrintScreen on it.
I would like to take a screen shot and save it in a sub folder in the main folder the application opened from for example C:/~/Application path/Screen shots/ I am using Visual basic 2005.
Having an issue with a Datagridview that I am trying to create. What I need is for not only column headers but row headers. If you are not sure what I mean, take a look at this image;
[Code]...
Notice how the screen shot has a column and row headers? Now I do not need the "view selector". To make matters worse I need to have two row headers. Kind of like this;

I have looked all over the internet to find specifically what the title says and i cant find anything that will work and is what i want, it's mostly all vb6. so even more specifically i am creating a program that captures screenshots of the "axwindowsmediaplayer" control at what ever frame or part of the video it's on. i also noticed that there is a command in the little menu when you type in "axwindowsmediaplayer.capture" i don't know how to use it?
I wanted to make a screen recorder (not screen capture) program, but I am not entirely sure how to get it started. I have seen many videos and things on how to make one, but all of these just take multiple pictures and then don't compile them into a movie file, and I don't want to take many pictures (unless that is the only way possible.) I am using Visual Basic 2010 Express and I have looked at the Windows Media Encoder, but I can't seem to figure out how to use/implement it (yes, I have downloaded and installed it.) Maybe I can use some kind of ActiveX control?
I am working on a vb.net app that is capturing a screen shot then crops down to the "status bar" of a particular application this image is then converted to black and white. I crop off the left portion of this to compare to a preset image. this is where the app breaks as for some reason it shows the images being the same no matter what. here is where i think the problem is but i also attached full source in case its needed
I send a message a while ago and no one answerd, how can I draw directly on the screen (not on a specific window) just on the screen, neither if it's on the desktop or anything else.Is there is any option to bring up the switch between applications window (Alt + Tab), I don't want to use sendkeys because the user need to keep the key down and I just want the user to select the application with his mouse.

When I first saw Silverlight, I thought that there was a How Do I: video that demonstrated how to capture the PC screen and save it in a WMV file. Since I can't find anything like that I'm wondering if I was dreaming or it has been removed from the Net. My goal is to create a video capture Class that I can use to demonstrate my program and add the feature in my program so the user can record any issues they are having with my program and send it to me. This way I can see what issues they are having with my program.
I want to capture a video of my screen with vb .net, and i'd like to avoid using directx. I found a tutorial here url... but it resulted in the program instantly crashing, i think it was designed for .net 1.1;
I know that a service in Win7 doesnt have a desktop associated to capture a screen - so normal techniques dont work.But how do i overcome this? How do programs like VNC and alikes do it? My code in WIN XP works fine - but in Win 7 i get black image.
