Code - Calculations Are Not Being Excecuted Properly - Ertain Equations Are Being Done Before Certain Terms Are Defined

Due to the way I currently have it setup, the calculations are not being excecuted properly. I've been tweaking for a while and haven't gotten it yet. I think the problem is that certain equations are being done before certain terms are defined. If I click the calculate button multiple times, it works fine, but I need it to function on the first click.

I found a great way to get the equations of calculations from application to Microsoft word file with MimeTex here-[URL]
But unfortunelly the code is only for Microsoft Visual Studio Solution under the Eq2ImgWinForms folder, but I use on my application Visual Basic language (Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition).
how could I use the same thing on my application with Visual Basic?

I cannot figure out why my calculation is not working. I am doing for 1 to 12 and it gives me 12 inputs but counts my entries as 13? What am I missing. If I change it to 0 to 11 same thing. I am not sure what the issue is, but I cannot see it, and am not sure where to look.I need to end up with 12 cycles through and intEntries to be 12.

I'm having trouble figuring how to code the calculations for a Pocket PC application that calculates the cost of a cell phone bill. From a Pocket PC the user should enter the number of minutes used during the past month, in order to calculate the cost of the cell phone bill. The plan allows 300 minutes for $29.95 per month. For each minute over 300 the cost is $0.17 cents per minute. Tax and Fees are $4.85 a month.
1. User enters the number of minutes used during the past month.
2. Based on plan rate of 300 minutes for $29.95 and 17 cents for each minute over 300 calculate the cost of the bill including the fixed cost of $4.85.
3. The user must be able to initiate the calculation and display the individual charges and the total cost of the cell phone bill.
4. The user should be able to clear the number of cell phone minutes, the individual charges and the bill total
If negative number is enterd for the cell phone minutes, the user should be advised and asked for a valid entry If non numeric value entered for the cell phone minutes, or if left blank the user should be advised and asked for a valid entry.Application is deployed on the Pocket PC emulator built in VS 2008

I have this scenario: in a Sub I have a Try...Catch statement.Within that Try..Catch I call another sub.In that 2nd sub is also a Try...Catch.(see below for example).Now if an exception occurs in the 2nd sub's Try...Catch, which Catch gets excecuted? The 2nd one, the 1st one or both?

I started making an application that would perform matrix multiplication. For that I need to take in the matrix data(row,column, elements). I've asked the user about number of rows and columns in a form. I then send him to another form which will contain row*column number of textboxes used to enter the elements.After reading a bit about the TextBox Class I used the following code to create the variable number of textboxes.[code]How do I get the data that the user enters into these boxes ? I am trying to make a program to calculate the roots of a polynomial equation using the bisection method. I have designed the program so the user input a range of x values (x1 and x2) to solve for the root. When I debug the program I keep getting zero for the root. I'm working on a calculator. So far I've made it so you can type in an equation with as many numbers as you want like 5+6-12*3/4 and it can solve it. My main problem now though is that it's solving the problem left to right instead of using PEMDAS. For example 2+6*2 should = 14 but when I type it in it will give me 16. My calculator isn't using parenthesis or exponents so I just want to put the multiplication, division, addition and subtraction in order when solving.Could a more experienced coder give me some pseudocode to make this possible please? So far for the calc I've been using regex a lot. Is there a way to achieve this without regex?

I have to calculate values of several equations in an application. For example, one these equations could be:
d = a + b*z + c*z (this is what is being displayed to the user, assume that 'a', 'b' and 'c' are provided as textboxes, assume that z is a hardcoded value for now)
Now, the user could enter a=1.5, b= -0.5 and c = -0.6 (or even 'a' could be negative). So, I just tried a sample code for simple values but to no avail...

I am looking for a code snippet which opens a image, creates a clone of this bitmap in memory disposes this opened image so that all handles are closed.
Usually we can open a bitmap using this[code...]
the following code however keeps the Image File locked until the application is running, any suggestions how to dispose it properly. (So that no handle is left open )
Things i already tried: use dispose method of bitmap <= doesnt work (need to write implementation)
Using Block also doesnt work.

Similar to using VAL(a$) to return the numerical value of a string, is there a function for returning the solution of an equation that is user-typed into a textbox? For instance, user types F$=(a+b*x)/(c*x^2-d*x^3) where the variables of the equation are either pulled from a textbox or derived within the code. I am looking for something like F=Solve(F$).
