Code To Permit A User To Have Only Three Attempts To Log On?

I have two combo boxes and one text box that verify subject code, user name and password respectively. I want the user to have only three attempts after which a message is displayed and the form closed.The code below is supposed to allow the user to have only three attempts to log on but it rather gives the user countless number of attempts. What is wrong with it?

I'm a little baffled why I get this error. Scenario: Printing - 6 different things to print including "Permit" and "Permit Copies". "Permit" looks like a drivers license including a photo."Permit Copies" is exactly the same except it has a piece of text at the bottom that says "Sheriffs Copy".
The problem is when trying to print "Permit Copies". Very few of them shows the print preview - most just display the FileNotFoundException error. If "Permit" pulls up the photo just fine, why not "Permit Copies?" It should be trying to pull up the same photo as "Permit" - same file path/name. Where is it wrong in my code?

I am attempting to create a game in Visual Studio 2008 that allows a user 10 attempts to guess a random number between 1 and 50. I have a label box in which I would like to display the remaining guesses as they decrement. The code so far appears below.
My two (I am sure very basic) questions are:
1. How would I pass the random integer generated through the Generate Integer function to the AmIRight button's click function? I was trying to decrement the counter each time the "Am I Right " button is pressed.
2. I would also like to evaluate each "guess" when the "Am I right button is pressed. Is it possible to nest a Select Case statement in a For Next Loop?

I have a small service which right now I just want to test by printing some string that is passed in and stored in a class.
Problem is everything works fine, service even starts fine as long as I don't call PrintDocument's Print function.
The moment I do that, the service never starts and I get Error 1053:Service didn't respond, etc error.

I am creating a shell for a FORTRAN application which reads a tab delimited text file.Because I am using Excel to manipulate data, is it possible to use the Excel Automation features to "save as" a tab delimited text file?The only method available seems to be a unicode text format, which does not work. Or is there another format that mimics tab delimited so that the FORTRAN application will read such a file without difficulty?

I'm using ASP.net 4.0 VB,I am using a session variable to add a user entered code into the url of each page. I can get the code to show up at the end of the page's URL that my textbox is on, but what do I add to every page to make sure that the session stays at the end of every URL that person visits during their session? In my project, I have a local dataset (XSD) that I am using as local-temporary tables. I am getting a System.InvalidCastException when trying to access the field in one the tables. I believe this is because I my code is (incorrectly) not setting a field's value in a row before trying to access it.My problem is that the exception is breaking in the designer file and not in my code. As a result, I'm having difficulting determining which line of my code reading the field value before it has been set. Is there any way to configure Visual Studio to break in my code instead of in the designer created file?

I've created an application, And now need to add the chat feature. It just needs to be basic, But im un sure on how to code one since i am still a beginner at Visual Basic. I have some code that queries all the printers on our print server and returns a list. I need this code to work so please don't reply with comments asking why I am using it when you can simply type \Server to list the printers (I know this, but need the code to work as part of a larger application). When running the following code on an IT PC with admin rights, it works. When running on a restricted user PC, it doesn't.
