DateTimePicker Control Set Time To 00:00:00 Instead Of Current Time
May 12, 2010I have a form with the DateTimePicker control on it. When I select a date it gives a value like "date time" (Eg.: 5/12/2010 12:20:35 PM). But here the time returned is current time. What I need is for the date chosen from the picker automatically set the time to 00:00:00 instead of the time when the date was picked.

Mar 29, 2012I implemented a DateTimePicker in my program which has the basic function of renewing data when a date is selected and "Enter" is pressed. Apparently every time Enter is pressed a "beep" sound is played.
Is there a possibility to disable this sound? (Pressing Enter while the DTP is focused is important hence I use it to start the function.)

Jan 27, 2012I'm having a little problem trying to figure out how to get only the time from a datetimepicker.I've set up a datetimepicker to only allow user selection of time by setting Format to Time and ShowUpDown to True.However, when I store the value of the datetimepicker to a variable, it returns a date as well.[code]However, this seems like a really inelegant solution and I can't figure out how to get an AM/PM behind that.I feel like I'm missing some really simple solution that I'm just not seeing! There HAS to be a way to get just the time!

To be more specific, I have 2 inputs and two of them are Booking Start Time (BST) & Booking End Time (BET) (using DateTimePicker and set them as Time ). I should allow users to choose any time (including Minutes and Seconds)for BST (just need before than now) and BET. BET must be greater than BST at least ONE minute, but still also ensure it less than now (else it should appear a message box to tell specific problem). Then,system will calculate how long it is. Jun 21, 2010I have 2 datetimepickers on my form, and I use them to pass parameters to my sql queries for reporting purposes. You would use them to pick a date range and display clock in times for employees. Anyway, I need an option so users can see information from a single day(24 hour timespan) My first Idea was to let the user change the date on the first datetimepicker then changing the time to 12:00 AM then the second datetimepicker to 11:59 PM. I want to be able to do this programmatically, but I couldnt figure out how to change the time.

IDE :: Datetimepicker When Dealing With Time Only?
Jan 6, 2010I sure this has been asked more then once... New to vb.net and I have been experimenting with a datetimepicker and how it looks at and deals with time. What I am trying to do is to add up my time (not worried about the date at all). I have it figured out and can get it to work so long as I do not go over 24 hours... and that is where my issue comes into play.
How do I display my total time in hours once it has gotten over 24 hours ( I do not want days.. just hours) for instance, a 40 hour work week, not 1 day and 16 hours.

DateTimePicker Requires Entry The First Time?
Jun 23, 2010I have a datetimepicker on a form. It is not bound to a table field. When I open the form, I click on the arrow on the right of this control, the calender picker appears, I click on a date, and then I have to hit enter for the picker to close and the date to transfer to the control.After that, I can click on the arrow, click on another date, and the picker closes immediately and the date value goes into the control. Why do I have to hit enter the first time? I would like to be able to transfer the selected date to the screen the first time with just 1 click and without hitting enter.

User To Enter Up To Five Passwords At One Time?
Oct 26, 2011I need to write a program allowing the user to enter up to five passwords at one time. I have the textboxes set the way I need. When the user presses the button, the code should check every password they ve entered, and flag any passwords that are invalid. A valid password includes the following:
At least 6 and not more than 15 characters
At least one uppercase alpha character
At least one lowercase alpha character
At least one numeric character
I'm a little confused about how to check each character of the entered passwords for these conditions.Because it must include alpha characters, I believe I have to do something with ASC and CHAR variables. This is my first post and I need to have this done within a few hours, haha. Help would be awesome.
Using F1 To Enter Current Time In Text Box?
Jun 12, 2011In the screenshot, you'll see three things- a start time, end time and total time. So the goal is this A user puts in a current start time by hitting F1 at the start of shift. They tab across the end time to the "time field", then go across the row. Then they enter their case number, then hit F1 again, and it will enter the current time in the start box on the next row, as well as putting that time in the end box in the row above.

May 16, 2009I have not been able to find a way to get the datetimepicker with ShowUpDown= True and custome format set to h:m tt to increment in 15 min intervals. I have been able to set it when the form is loaded to the nearest 15 min increment. But I need it to increment in 15 minutes units.
This can be down with the NumericUpDown control, but I need two of them one for the hour and one for the minutes and set it's Increment property to 15. Again I can set it to adjust to correct hour and the nearest 15 min. And of course I have to watch and when I go over 60 reset to zero and increment the hour control.
The users will be burly oil field workers using a Panasonic Tablet PC with a stylus in the field. It seems that it would be easier if I could increment the datetimepicker in 15 intervals.

It has two datetimepickers which both have the format of "dd MMMM yyyy hh:mm:ss"..However, I want to be able to do some calculations with them and return a format of: "ddd dd MMM yyyy HH:mm:ss" with the milliseconds but not sure how to show the milliseconds. And how to do the calculations..A date and time gets entered in the datetimepicker of "18 November 2010 02:59:07"And in the other one the data may be: "20 November 2010 01:59:07"..I want to be able to find the difference between them - including the milliseconds, seconds, minutes, hours, year, month and date. etc..I have looked through the internet however, nothing uses a datetimepicker [code]I currently have this, it returns the number of different fields, but not sure how I can convert this into a readable time/date.
