Apr 20, 2012I have been trying to generate a Proxy class in VB.NET using a WSDL file for an Apache Axis SOAP Web Service. They have provided me the WSDL file and when I use the WSDL.exe command (In Visual Studio 08) and point it to the local path I get an error.
wsdl /language:vb c:Orders.wsdl
(I am trying to create a .NET Client that consumes the SOAP Web Service Hosted on Apache Axis 2)
The Error
Unable to import binding 'OrdersSoapBinding' from namespace 'urn:company:orders:schemas:OrderTypes:1.00'.
-Unable to import operation 'placeOrder'
-The element 'urn:company:remtp:schemas:PlaceOrderRequest:1.00:PlaceOrderRequest' is missing
If I use the svcutil.exe I also get an error message...

VS 2008 Class To Create Database And Tables From XML File
Jun 27, 2011I need some expert help in achieving this task. I have an xml file which will be emailed to me everyday. I need to loop through the xml and create tables in a database based on the xml nodes and their attributes. looking at the following xml fragment for example: Code:
So based on the above xml, I would have to create a Shipment table as a Parent with fields like ShipmentIdentifier. Then I would have to create an Event table with the ShipmentID as a foreign key and fields like Source, Code. Basically a field for each node. Then if there are columns in the table that are new, I would have to modify the table and add the column. I only have to create tables where there are child nodes or where the nodes have attributes.

Aug 6, 2009I have a class that add extra information about a column for linq2sql (see code below) right now, I have to explicitly tell what column I want that info on, how would you put that code with a loop on every column in every table from a dbml file? I was doing my test on a very very small DB, now I have to implement it on a much more bigger database and I really don't want to do it manually for every tables/columns it will take hours.

Sep 10, 2008I'm in the process of trying to create a class that will allow me to create windows shortcut; Im using the following PDF file that gives me the shortcut file structure.
Ive been able to successfully load a shortcut file and parse its Lnk File Structure but now Im on the Shell Item ID List structure but I cannot find the Structure of the ITEMIDLIST anywhere
Furthermore I know I could use the Windows script object, but this is a dependency Im trying to avoid if I can, hence writing my own Shortcut class.

The result:Application runs, no errors or exceptions.Displayed is the listbox and the Start button.I press the start button and a msgbox says "Not Invoked" as expected and upon clicking OK to that msgbox "Start Button Pressed" is added to the Output listbox control.Immediately following that the msgbox pops up again and says "Not Invoked". I was expecting "Invoked" as a separate thread is trying to use the Output listbox control.Of course this results in the Output.Items.Add being attempted which results in no visible result as the thread is not allowed to directly update the UI control.
VB Class (class File - Not School Class)
Aug 9, 2011so I used to mess around with C#, just a little. And someone had helped me make a class for Visual C# that was supposed to do the math parts for "internal structure" - which the program used for a part of its calculations and screen... Basically there were 2 options. Endo-Steel and Standard. The user would use a updownbox to determine weight of the machine and then internal structure was a % of that total. If it was standard then it was 10% of the overall weight, if it was Endo-Steel then it was 50% of standard (so 5% of total weight) rounded to next 0.5 (so .25 was .5, 1.25 was 1.5, 1.75 was 2.0, etc). I have the code for the C# class file for it, but want to make it in VB.

If I remove the argument from Sub New() everything works fine.

A button or menu item should display the pet information on a separate form. Hint: Use a ReadOnly property on the input form to pass the object to the second form.
What I have done so far is create a new class with the name Pet and have instantiated each object with readonly property. I have also created another form where the information entered by the user will be displayed. Guess I kinda need to know what would be the next step? And I want to ensure what I have done so far is correct.
