I get around this problem by asking the calling program to pass the address of the handler to a delegate in the custom column, instead of adding a handler to the event.
Following up on my question yesterday to deepcopy an object with events in C# and attach the events of the original object to the Cloned copy is pretty easy, you just set the Event declaration in the Copy = the value in the original. Deep Clone when events are attached. How do you do this in VB.Net? (Using .Net 2). Maybe there was something with reflection where you can examine what events are bound and somehow transfer those to the new object.

Let's say I got a list called myFirstList And then I want to create a copy of that list so I can do some tweaks of my own. So I do this:
mySecondList = myFirstList
mySecondList.doTweaks
But I noticed that the tweaks also affect the myFirstList object! I only want the tweaks to affect the second one And afterwards I will want to completely delete mySecondList, so I do mySecondList = Nothing and I'm good, right?
I'm looking for a similar "IsStructure" function. Is there some other way to determine if T is a structure but not an intrinsic type?

We're aware of an API call that can be used but would prefer to avoid that route if possible. There's also the possibility of simply passing a flag in with the Graphics object that is True from a PrintPage event handler and False from elsewhere, but that's not ideal either. So I used this query in LinqPad to help me determine what the object would look like. I got back a IOrderQueryable(Of RSError) which then contained a IGrouping(Of String, RSError) for each grouped collection of objects returned by the query.However I ended up with the current object type of errors as IOrderedQueryable(Of IGrouping(Of String, RSError)) because of the cast error I am getting in VS.

I am using a button together with a mediaplayer. The button represents the media player currentPosition. (I know this is already a built in feature of the media player object but I need a much bigger display area.) It works as planned and allows the user to get or set the currentPosition. The only aspect I'm not happy with is its jerky movement as it jumps from pixel to pixel. I thought I had solved the problem by using a PointF (MyButton.Left = MyPointF.X) only to discover that the MyButton.Left value is reconverted to an integer (i.e. a position in pixels).
Is there any way that objects like buttons can be positioned accurately using units of less than one pixel?
If not, is there any other kind of object that can be positioned more accurately than a button?
