In a data grid, I have a data grid with a column like this:

How can I disable this column entirely, I mean even disable focus event (can't click, can't use Tab or arrow keys, etc.)

In first column the parameter values are entered and in the second column measured value is entered and in third column the nominal value is entered.Inthe fourth column the result is displayed by subtracting the measured value and nominal values. I am doing this calculation in Datagrid cell validated event. What i want is,there will be many rows in the grid,when typing the value in the third column the corresponding result will be displayedin the rowof theresult column,save button will be displayed while the form loads,when the calculate part is completed that is there should not any cell of the resut column empty then i should enable the save butto.

I want to disable column in datagridview so the column will not receive focus,
when user press tab to move from cell to cell this column will be skipped and the focus move to the next cell or column.
I have a usercontrol that contains a datagridview and a toolstrip. When creating a windows form that contains 2 of the mentioned usercontrol i gate for example c1 and c2 where both contains for sure the datagridview and the toolstrip hving the same control name for example G and t. in my case i want to apply the security on each form, i do this by reading the access of each control inside the windows form and if the control on the form was a user control then i dont consider it as one entity instead but as a grid alone and a toolstrip alone in order to be able to apply its security accordingly. but in ma case, if i want to disable the first grid and enable the 2nd i wont be able to do so since both grids have the same name. is there any solution for the above.

See the picture below:We've tried looking through all of the properties of the DataGridView control, and found some interesting things that looked promising such as the DataGridViewAdvancedHeaderStyle, and DataGridViewHeaderBorderStyle, but none of it seems to allow you to change the colors on it.Does anyone know how to do this without remaking the entire thing with a GDI+ control?

The split seems to be working fine but the issue i am having is when I populate the datagrid it is growing in height and changing the splitter instead of leaving the height alone and adding scroll bars.

In the excel i have numers and text and "Service Pack", "Processor Speed" and "Numar procesoare(Number of processors)" and the values for these are numers. in the data grid when i import the excel those values doesn't appear, i receive the value "null".

I am using datagridview in my windows app.Columns width is saved in sql datatable and it sets the columns after datasource is assigned Now in column width change event new values or the width are saved in the db.
MY problem is grid is showing approximate width not exact My dgv is also docked in a splitter container where splitter distance also dynamic
as every thing is dynamic but when form resizes the values of the column width changes

One of the columns is sorted ascending and the column header for this column displays the little "up arrow" thing to signify it is sorted. I do not want the user to be able to click this (or any other column header) in this datagridview.
