Is there a better way to stream one stream into another? Maybe a smaller buffer, like 1024 bytes at a time, is more efficient for large files?

Jun 2, 2009I'm making some archeology, dealing with COM+I managed to enlist a simple COM dll as a COM+ component, so far so good.So I've got this 'foobar' com+ component, with it's interface, and the method I'd like to call.My question is then rally simple: how am I supposed to make a call to this component?.NET or VB6 answer is accepted (I have to check the component is OK, don't care about the client)
Edit (06/03/09): Well, I'm confused. so as to work properly, my COM+ component needs it's dll to be registered. Why not? But then, how to be sure I'm making a COM+ call, and not a COM one?

Can Not Create An ActiveX Component
Nov 1, 2009I didnt know if this was the correct location to post this kind of question. My code is in C# however I am using the visualBasic. Interaction. CreateObject to connect to a OCX file. I notice that this works great for a while but if it continues to do its job for lets say a few days then I get and exception... "Can not create an ActiveX component." I am 100% sure that the ocx and dlls are registed correctly to the system.
