Drag And Drop - DragAndDrop Not Working On Controls?

I'm trying to make a program which uses drag & drop functionality, however, it only works when I drop something onto the form, not the controls. If I do try on the controls, I just get the 'Unavailable' cursor.
The AllowDrop property is set in the properties bar, and I also set it when the form loads.

i am trying to drag a picture from one picturebox to another, but when i click to drag it shows the circle with the slash mark throught it like: [URL] not-symbol.jpg where my mouse is supposed to be? i cant seem to figure it out. my code is:
I have installed a fresh copy of VS 2008 after formating my PC, ealier i used VS 2005 for ASP. However, when open new web project and tried to drag and drop server controls to the form but i couldn't. When i click the control and drag it to the form it shows a black stop sign on my mouse cursor.... How do i fix this?
I'm trying to have either a calendar, or multiple panels representing different job duties, where the user will drag a label, or some similar object onto the panel, thus scheduling by dragging and dropping.
I've found tutorials for drag and drop in TreeViews, but I don't see how to drag a label, or any other control. I see the AllowDrop property is there, but the ItemDrag event is not.
I've got an app with a datagridview - you can drag-and-drop files into this DGV.It's working perfectly on my laptop.Installed on the users network - running on a workstation - it won't work.I added a bunch of MESSAGEBOX statements - the first one is not even being reached! I have a simple TreeView with HotTracking Property set to True. It works when I move the mouse over an item. But it doesn't work when I use Drag&Drop and Drag something over a TreeView Item. Is there a way to use the HotTracking with DragDrop? Or any workarounds?
Site is located at [URL] and the section in question is the "configurator" button on my top row navigation. Everything is written in the latest flavor of VB.NET and ASP 3.5, and I have a SQL2005 server available with my host. Here is the down 'n dirty of my dilemma:
During pageload, I get a list of all the parts in my parts table. Then I create an image object and 2 label objects per entry and place them in my fancy accordion pane control. Works great so far, I can get a giant list of pictures and text that's aligned how I like it (for now). Now - I really need a way to be able to have a visitor drag an image/label/label combo from the accordion over to a panel (or anything really) on the right side that is currently invisible. Once the dragged thing is dropped into the drop target, I would like it to fire a function or sub that I write in VB.
From what I've seen about jquery, apparently there is a way to make an element on my webpage draggable, droppable, or what have you. The example code for it - I'm not entirely understanding so a quickie sample would be great. I'm a fast learner and can apply it from there to my project. More importantly, how do I get objects that are created during runtime to be draggable, and fire my event that I wrote in the only language that I know?

I can drag and drop items from my desktop or wherever and apply certain properties and values to my button (ProBtn Class) but I don't know how to drag and drop between control to switch them.

I am using Excel 2007, VS2008 Pro.I am building a VSTO Add-in that requires "drag and drop from Excel cells to a drag-enabled task pane".So far I notice that I can only drag and drop within the cells themselves. Note: The task pane has drag drop enabled, I ahve already tested I can drag/drop from task pane to excel but I need to do this the other way around?
I am trying to figure out a way to include the listview's tag field when dragging one listview's subitems into another listview. I am hoping someone here has experience with this. Is it possible to reorder the elements of a drop down list (combobox) via drag and drop?For example, when the list is dropped down, I want the user to be able to drag the items up or down to reorder them. I tried this (and some google searching) but I'm wondering if its just not possible:

I want to be able to hold CTRL down to select multiple text entries and drag them all to certain text boxes. Or even one at a time, but once I try dragging another word into the box it replace the first one. Is there any way to just have it add to the text box rather than replace it?
And if possible, place a "-" between each entry?

I am writing a small program that has two list box's which are populated from my sql database. I want to drag an item from LB1 to column1 in a datagridview and drag an item from LB2 to column2 in the same datagridview.
I am getting close, but I am having trouble getting the data to drop. I did some testing and I can drop a string, but I am not able to get the string data from my listbox. I just get a datarowview. I see the string inside the "itemarray", but cannot get to it.

Also if I declare the nodebtn as a global variable, I do not face this problem, the button is dragable. However when I click to add new buttons, no new button is generated, instead a button is generated with the count on it.
I have this app that gets the files/subdirectories from a selected one (it stores the files with their icon in a listview), I was wondering how could I drag a selected file from the listview into another directory (outside of the form), let's say the desktop.
How can I do this? I have only found examples of how to do drag/drop within the same form.
In my Project I want to Drag the text of the Text Box into any Particular cell of the DataGrid which ever user wants to,
but my problem is I am not able to find the Coordinates of the cell cell in which user will drop the text and hence not able to put the text into desired Cell.

I am very new to Visual Basic, but I am trying to build a simple program, and how to create a drag and drop that works, but I can't seem to figure out how to change the display as I drag across the screen. Basically, right now I have a circle with a line through it that goes across my screen as I drag and what I would like is for it to be the text that I am dragging that drags across the screen, just like a file on my desktop would do when I grab it and try to drag it somewhere else on the desktop. I've seen the code on this site to setup a drag-and-drop between 2 listboxes (and that works perfectly for me), but I have a need to be able to move items between up to 12 listboxes. For example, I move an item from listbox1 to listbox2; at some point in the future, I need to be able to move that same item from listbox2 to listbox3, then at another point in time from listbox3 back to listbox1, etc. When I make these moves, I need the item to be removed from its previous location. I've attempted to modify the 2-listbox code to include, on my test form, a third listbox, but that code copies to the third listbox, and when I attempt to move the item from the third listbox to the second, it, too, only copies and does not remove the item from listbox3.
I'm a relative novice at coding in visual basic 2008 and am trying to implement dragging and dropping filenames from windows explorer into a listbox within my VB app. My customer wants to do this as opposed to selecting filenames from a directory browsing window.
