View 4 RepliesI am developing an application with a DataGridView (dgvData) that requires a ToolStipMenuItem (tsmiSelectNetwork) of a ContextMenuStrip (cmsNetwork) to be enabled and disabled programmatically based on if the column is sorted or not.
I have set:
'tsmiSelectNetwork.Enabled = False' at runtime
'tsmiSelectNetwork.Text = Select All' at runtime
'dgvData.Columns(5).ContextMenuStrip = cmsNetwork' programmatically
When dgvData is sorted by column 5, tsmiSelectNetwork.Enabled should be set to True; when it is sorted by any other column, it should be set to False (see code below)

Later in my code I have a RowEnter event for that DataGridView when the user is assessing it after it has been populated during the main procedure. However this RowEnter event gets fired while the DGV is being populate. I only want it to file AFTER its populated. Is it possible to disable this specific event while the DGV is being populated? I really want the user to have the ability to cursor up/down the DGV and see affects of the RowEnter Event. I know I can also use the CellEnter event but it does not have the same effect.

View 4 RepliesI want to write a small program to just enable/disable two network adapters. I searched over google and I found a few C# codes but didn't understand anything. I heard something called WMI. It seems they are other ways like enabling registry (which sounds wierd for me) or using command lines.
I really don't know which way should be used althought I didn't find any code to those either. something that works in win xp & vista & seven.
Because user want two switch between two NIC by enable one and disabling another one, I think I should first get a list of network adapters, then let user specify. I know It can be done easily by going to the network settings directly and do it by right clicking. But they want to do it through a program with single click.

I have an application than disables the screen saver temporarily in order to run a slide show. I use this to turn it on or off:

This works fine in XP. In Windows 7, it disables the screen saver properly. However, when it is enabled again, at the normal time for the screen saver to come on, the system asks for a password instead of showing the screen saver.From this time on until the screen saver settings are adjusted in the control panel, the password screen is displayed in place of the screen saver.Is there something else I should be doing for Windows 7? I understand that SPI_GETSCREENSAVEACTIVE is not supported in Windows 7, but SPI_SETSCREENSAVEACTIVE is supposed to be.
Below is my code which enables and disables all network cards in my PC.
It works fine but when I execute this code on a normal User Account, i get the exception " Unable to read beyond the end of the stream" .
Im also aware that as a normal user, one will not be able to enable and disable network cards. I tried changing the settings in gpedit.msc bt it still doesnt work.
How do I grant permission to the user so that he wud b able to disable and enable the network card using the code below?[code]...
