Error - Checkbox Is A Type And Cannot Be Used As An Expression

basically i have 16 checkboxes that indicate the status of digital inputs, either checked or unchecked, but rather than adress each and every one of them with a pile of repetative code, i set up a for-next loop and tried to change the status of the checkboxes with - is for index = 0 to 15, if blah=true then checkbox(index) = checked else checkbox(index) = uncheckedBut i get error- checkbox is a type and cannot be used as an expression.
I am making a GUI for ffmpeg. And i want a own namespace for it. So you can ex. write in Form1.vb:
ffmpeg.Execute("The command to execute")
or
ffmpeg.SetType.CBR
But i can't get it to work.This is what i have:

In the execute option, it gives me an error of Execute is a type in ffmpeg, not an expression.In the SetType thing, the two subs doesn't even come up when i call it.
i already converting to integer, but why still got the error when create new record?Data type mismatch in criteria expression.

I have written an application for my family business. It works fine when I try it on my computer, which I've used to write the app. But it gets the "Data type mismatch in criteria expression" error when I try to save data on the computer where the app is installed and will be used on.I don't get it. Is it because of the operating system?

and in my table exp_id is "Number" now when i run this i get an error at the time executing reader (Data type mismatch in criteria expression.) but when i change exp_id properties to "Text" it run's properly
I work with C# 99% of the time. However, I'm having to update some legacy VB.Net code and encountering an issue with VB.Net code syntax. The error that I get is "ByRef" is underlined and "Expected Expression" tag shows up when you hover over "ByRef". The "FooDetail.Load" function is written in C# and expects a List object passed as reference. Don't have any trouble using the same function in other C# classes. Can someone indicate what is wrong with below VB.Net code.

I want to pass an optional parameter to a function of type System.Drawing.Color. The problem I am having is that when I declare the function it says "Constant expression is required" but I have tried variations of the following, including integers, full qualified indentifiers, even old vbWhite constants to no avail.
Am using vb.net 2008 and sql2008 and I want to loop thru frmMovement.DataGridView1 and the checked rows shd get populated into frmMovementReceivedFiles.DataGridView2. But I used Cbool, Boolean.TryParse to convert the the checked value but I still get but still the error: "Conversion from string "" to type 'Boolean' is not valid"

I've just finished installing VS2010 on my computer. I have a project I built in 2003 that I'm trying to open in 2010. This is not a homework of mine and i had never tried ms access database with vb so i just gave it a shot. so this is my first time and i am just trying not asking anyone to complete my homework. I have been searching for this a lot on internet but couldn't find a solution to this so i decided to ask this question here. i have this sql code. what i want to do is that create a basic login form where users puts it's username in the UsernameTextbox and Password in the PasswordTextbox. If the the information match then a message box appears saying that the user is valid and if the information does not exist, a mesage box appears saying the users is not valid. now everytime i execute(run) the code, i come up with this error: Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression ''UserName' = 'Admin' 'PassWord' = 'testing123''.
The field names(UserName, PassWord) are also correct they are same as in the database. the information put in the username and password textbox are correct and they match the information on the database. But i dont know why this error comes up.

I have some problems with a for loop in visual basic. The result of this for loop is that every picturebox in the designer form is named: blocks([number of picturebox]). I need this for some other for loops.
I have a project with 7 forms. I wanted to change the startup form for testing, but in the project properties application tab under startup form, only 3 of my forms show up as available. So I manually edited the Application.myapp file and changed the MainForm tag to frmSearch. I checked the property pages and now frmSearch is listed in the dropdown, and it is selected.
Run I compile I get an error: Error 1 'frmSearch' is a type in 'MyTestApp' and cannot be used as an expression. C:Documents and Settings...My ProjectApplication.Designer.vb 35 27 MyTestApp frmSearch is a form, just like other forms that work as the startup form.
