But I stuck, the help is too pour and no running example available.If I use the ExcelFormatOption with the default option, the column order is completely messed up. In Crystal Report Viewer, Export Button Hangs?
Sep 8, 2009I have a problem in crystl report viewer export button, when user click on the export button. it becomes hangs . this thing I observed the same report are working fine in XP OS and XP 2003 server, this problem produced only in Window 2008 Server and Vista workstation. one thing more, I have used Multi Threading in crystal report . for performace improvement I called a crystal report asyncrosni calll. It is wonder all reports is show well and only export button create problem I m usiing crystal report 11 release 2 with latest service packs and hot fixes.

He can view a crystal report fine on his machine, but he can't export the report to pdf, or excel etc. even tho he has the programs installed. He is just missing the export button on the report viewer. On all the other agents pcs, the button is there. And on mine as well.
Any ideas what dll's i need to register on his pc ?

Mar 10, 2009I want to start off and say, I figured out how to take the content of a datagrid and put it in a print document. However, the length of the page changes based on the amount of rows in the grid. It never goes to a second page. How can I get this to go to a new page after 'x' amount of rows? If this is not the best way to achieve this, then could anybody point me in the direction of a sample code that can export the content of a datagrid (not datagridview) to a crystal report?

Feb 8, 2010Why I've choosen this forum (VB.Net) instead of Reporting is this seems not a matter of reporting. When I load the report normally, it works fine. When I export the report to Excel, it works fine again. After that when I tried to open the report again, it gives the error : "Load Report Failed" . I've to restart my application for make it work fine again.I'm using a Crystal Report Viewer control to load the report.

DB/Reporting :: Export The Current Record To Crystal Report Which In Turns Converts It To A PDF File?
Aug 19, 2009I have a database app where on a button click, I export the current record to crystal report which in turns converts it to a PDF file. Upon application startup, I export one record into PDF just fine but when I move ahead to the next record and I click the export button, the new PDF file that was exported is now blank. If I restart the app, I can then export the one record again but any subsequent record will export to PDF as a blank PDF file.
To sum up:I can export one record once using the below code snippet but when I try it for a second time on another record, I get a blank PDF file (only the crystal report formatting is in the PDF).

I want to display the data from the table, column name "Remarks" in report footer but when I try to call the data it doesn't show the remarks. I'm using VB 6 and mdb files as my back end. Is there any command or fundamental that I've missed?

First, ItemID
2nd, Total Quantity Sold for the Current Month
3rd, Total Quantity Sold: Last month

Hence, I can compare the figure of the current month with the past few month.Right now, I do not have any problems building SQL_String for calculating the Total Qty Sold for the Current month and display it via DataGridView. But I am not sure how to additional column that calculate the Total for the past few month

Feb 19, 2009I am trying to convert a VB6 Data Report (.dsr file) to a Crystal Report through the migration process within Visual Studio. I have read articles that reference adding a Data Report to a Project from Visual Studio 2005/2008 and that it will convert the Data Report to a Crystal Report, but I have not been successful in doing so. Does the VB6 Data Environment need to be converted too? Has anyone been able to do this successfully and if so, how?

Dynamically Update Crystal Report From Datagridview?
Sep 1, 2008i have a pretty standard crystal report that shows a quote for materials for various customers - i also have a form, lets call it form1 for arguments sake - on form 1 i have two data grid views - one attaches to the customer table, one attaches to the quote table. Customer and quotes are linked on customer number at the database level.
i dragged and dropped these on to the form and they work great, as i scroll through each customer in the customer datagridview, that customer's respective quotes show up in the quotes datagridview.
now the problem - as a third tier, i have a crystalreportviewer that has all the nice graphics and presentation of this quote, company logo, etc etc, i've also done all the standard report sources etc etc, but the darn thing won't cycle through the quotes as i scroll through them in the quotes datagridview.
am i missing something simple? all i want to do is highlight "abc company", see their list of 50 different quotes pop up in the quotes datagrid view, then click a quote number and see the quote display in the fancy smanshy crystal report viewer so i can then print or export or whatever.
