I need to download an mp3 file on a linkbutton click event, but i want to force the save or open dialog. I have tried the following code:

When i run this i get nothing, What am i doing wrong? is there any other way to do this?
Questions regarding progress bars. to start i would like to say what i am trying to do: i am trying to have my app open a save confirm message box open. at this point if the user presses ok then a seperate form will open containing a progress bar to visually represent the status of the file saving. the following code is written in VB 2008

When I open VB projects in Visual Studio 2005 and attempt to view a form view designer I have started getting "File Download - Security Warning" Message prompting a .tmp file in the location of my project. After the download dialogue opens I need a series of changes to happen on the page, but I have noticed all the code after this code will not run. Anyone know how I can make the page changes occur AND get the download dialogue to pop up?

my problem is that the server (accessed through filezilla) wont allow .exe extensions to be uploaded as a result i have added a .new to the end and that allows it to be uploaded. Thus when i download it i simply remove the .file from the end.That's sorted but my auto updater needs to download folders as well. This is a problem as i cannot add a .file to a folder as it does not govern the filetype. I though of using .zip files but i cannot find an program in windows that can extract it (e.g. through CMD, or if you right click a .zip file in Win7/Vista you get the option to "extract all" i cannot find the root of this application). Also if i try to use a external file extractor i cannot be sure that the remote PC has the same program (e.g. 7zip, winrar, etc..)

I am having trouble openning my vb.net projects in vs2005. What happens when i open one is that i get several windows downloading files from the Appdatalocal emp folder. It says "do you want to open or save this file?. the file name is several random charactors with the tmp extension. do not suggest a virus. The tmp files in question are vs 2005 generated files. they contain html data indicating a problem on the form. If i close all the forms in the tabbed code area, and rebuild the project, then all is well. If i don't build the project, then when i open a form up onto the code area, i get a new download message. Anyone ever heard of this? I suspect IE8 but cannot recall if this all started when i installed IE8 or not.
