Get A .Net PDF Viewer Tool That Will Accept The Barcode Font As Well As Allow The User To Save, Email, And Print The PDF?
Aug 25, 2009
I'm looking for a .Net PDF Viewer tool that will accept the barcode font as well as allow the user to save, email, and print the PDF. I tried the tool by SkySof, but it doesn't handle barcodes. We're having trouble using the COM PDF control because of other stuff that needs to be installed on our servers. Our customer would prefer that the tool be under $1000. We're using Visual Studio 2008 and this is a windows application being served up by Citrix.
I am looking for a tool that will accept an address from the user and return a 9 digit zipcode as well as validate the address or suggest an address, like on fexed or ups website. Its got to work with vb.net and asp.net Is there a tool like this available? any recommendation?

A client for our company contains an apostrophe in their email name joe's@joe.com. I was advised that this is the correct and current email for the given client. Below is the Expression string I am using with Regex (which I copied from the internet somewhere) to validate email addresses. How can this expression be modified to allow/accept apostrohe's?

I am trying to enable Marquee zoom in PDF file programatically in .Net/C# (Winforms)

I'm getting the exception below, and I think its because I am not setting the SmtpServer in bold below (because I don know what it is). I've contacted IT but am not holding my breath as to a reply. Is there a way to figure it out on my own without them?
Exception Message"Could not access 'CDO.Message' object." Public Function EmailFile(ByVal NewEmail As String) As Boolean Dim Success As Boolean
I have a client, who is running Windows 2008 Server 64 bit. He is running our software, it has a built in crystal report viewer functionality. The print dialogue just wouldn't work no matter what. It worked on our 32 bit box and we verified it. I verified it on our 64 bit box, and the print dialogue didn't open either. I did some research online. And one suggestion is to set m_printDlg.UseEXDialog = True. I tried that, but that did not work either...
Here is the code snippet. #Region " Methods " Public Overrides Sub PrintReport() ' NOTE: Do not use bug in reportviewer 'MyBase.PrintReport() Dim objRpt As ReportDocument = CType(Me.ReportSource, ReportDocument) [Code] .....
I have to make a basic program that: Create a program with a simple interface that
1. Asks the user type his/her email address into a textbox.
2. When the user clicks the "Evaluate Email Address" button, one of two message boxes pops up: "That is a valid email address!" with an "Information" icon, or "That is an invalid email address!" and on a second line, "Please retype your email address.", with an "Exclamation" icon
3. To be considered valid, the email address must -include an "@" symbol, and -it must end in either ".com", ".net", or ".org" or ".edu" (I don't know how to check a string and test if its last four characters end with any of these and make it say not valid email address. I think I might have to use a case statement)
I wouuld like to open outlook with new email with provided subject line, body message and attachment but no email address. User will enter the email address and click send . How can I do this?

Heres the problem. The company has instituted a bonus program to give its employees an incentive to sell more. For every dollar the store makes in a four-week period, the employees receive 2 percent of sales. The amount of bonus each employee receives is based upon the percentage of hours he or she worked during the bonus period (a total of 160 hours). The Calculate button will determine the bonus earned by this employee, and the Clear button will clear only the name, hours-worked, and bonus amount fields. A Print button allows the user to print the form. Do not allow missing or bad input data to cancel the program; instead display a message to the user.
Here's my code so far. its giving me the wrong results. i have tried many different ways,(hence the commented code) but I just dont know where im going wrong.
I am trying use barcode for input but prevent user to modify the barcode they scan, user are not allow to input the barcode number by keyboard. i am using vs 2010 vb.net
I want to know how to accept data from user? I want to accept about 10 datas from user. Before this I use Input box, but it is not a best way for user to key in 10 times data that required. What should I do and what the appropriate way to accept 10 data from user in 1 screen?
I've wrote a program awhile ago that prints barcode labels. The old version needed the font to be installed in the fonts folder, but that made it a pain for people using the program for the first time, as the program would print the barcode label with a default font. If I load the font file directly and try and print, it just shows up with the default font, obviously not a barcode. The following doesn't seem to work:
I am trying to use the font dialog settings with my print control. My code works fine - it prints. But how do I change the code to use the font dialog settings? Here is an example of my print code:
e.Graphics.DrawString("Date and Time: " & Now.ToString, _ New Font("Courier New", 10, FontStyle.Bold), _ Brushes.Black, 10, 38)
I'm writing a windows forms project in Visual Studio 2008 - VB, data are stored in SQL database.- I have a date field within Datagrid that could be Null or have a date in it. I had set it to show <none> when it's Null (Null is allowed for this field). The problem that I got is when user would need to delete the date from that date cell within the grid. I'm getting an error immediately after pressing "Delete" to clear the cell value. I had put in a work around - added the code for grid DataError event and assigned DBNull.Value to that cell and user is able to type in <none> for that cell or just press save, but it won't allow to go to the next cell in the grid if you don't save or type <none>. I'm sure that there is a better way handlig situation like that. May be using different event? I wasn't able to find anything else on it.- the other issue in the datagrid - if user fills in 3 cells out of 5 for example and press save while in the 3d cell - it won't save the value in the 3d cell. I also put a work around to check for the values in specific cells before saving but the problem with it - few cells could be Null (and should be Null). I can't check every single cell value and force user to type something in it.
I have face problem with null value i remove the chk from null value n sql server and when i direct save anything in table it dosen't accept null value but when i save these in my form it accept null value.
