Get Clean Text On An Aero Window?

Private Sub Form1_Paint(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.PaintEventArgs) Handles Me.Paint
' Create a GraphicsPath.
Dim graphics_path As New Drawing2D.GraphicsPath
' Add some text to the path.
[code].....
Is what I tried after researching how to get clean text on an aero window, but it is still not nice looking.

I'm having trouble getting an naero glass code which works properly. I hav ecome across many in which anything black becomes aero aswell. Is it possible to have the black text unaffected by the aero like, change it so that another colour becomes aero instead? Also this is just an extra but can you change the colour of the aero you have? Like default is blue change you change it to like yellow, or black or another colour?

I've created an app, which puts windows onto the desktop. When i click on the window it creates a new window and passes the first window's Items collection to the second window's Items collection. Opening the second window adds around 2-4 megs of memory to the app's mem usage. Now if i close the second window, the memory still stays on the same level as when the window was opened. When closing the window, i reset the Items property and clear all images that i'm using in it. It has a wrappanel with some elements, that's also cleared using the .clear function of the wrappanel.children. What else should i do to free up the memory?

I have been working on an image capturing tool for a long time now & I was wondering how some of those programs are able to make an aero capture of a form.I know you can capture a window if you have it's handle by using the BitBlt, but that doesn't keep the transparancy of the aero form.Let me give you an example:I did a lot of research on google but I never found anything close to something that explains how to do it.

I stumbled upon an excellent article about taking screenshots of specific windows in .NET, and doing something with black and white color rectangles behind those windows in order to preserve the aero effect when saving a screenshot to a PNG.Well, I can't find that article anymore, mainly because crap sites and other stuff not at all associated with taking screenshots SEO'd their way into Google's results.Does anyone know how I can take a screenshot of a specific window while preserving the aero effect?

I using the VistaControls control library (here) and I have a WebBrowser control that will have black in it on the form. When I set the background color to black in the HTML, the glass renders fine. So I added some text that is red, but it shows up as a transparent red. How do I get the text to be opaque?
Also, if I want to have black text in the HTML, how do I get that to show correctly?

Have you ever seen the whitish glow around the titlebar text in Vista? You know, the feathering around the text that makes it stand out from the Aero glass? Well if you haven't, look at the picture in the attachment. Does anyone have an idea as to how I may reproduce it, specifically draw it around some text on the Aero glass? I already know that the Aero glass can be implemented using some APIs in dwmapi.dll. Are APIs for the glow also in that dll? I'm unable to find any info on how to do this in the official documentation.

I've got Visual Studio 2010 and I am looking to clean up my code technique, since I've taught myself and now I'm taking classes.
I'm trying to use a For...Next Loop so that I can fill a text box with sequential numbers. For some reason, all I can get in the text box is the last number and I feel that at this point I'm probably overthinking it...
All I want is on the button push the text box shows:
Here's what I have:
CODE:
Once I grasp this simple concept, I can move on to the actual challenge ahead of me, but I really want to know the proper way to handle this with out going all spaghetti code.

after many weeks of annoying compatibility with windows xp, I realized that I should change the .netbar buttons to standard windows buttons. When I did this, and put the button on the transparency area and then debugged the application. I found out that the transparency add-in made the text inside the button transparent: How can I make the text show just the color, not transparent?

I have this Quiz software that lets you create online multiple choice quizzes which are great for studying (I am in grad school and I'm trying to use everything I can to learn). So the Quiz software is great but it only lets you input questions by hand, one by one. I took a look at the .xml file that the quiz program spits out and came up with the idea to try and make a converter so that I can import many questions at once. I was hoping to try and solve this limitation by doing the following:
Take a .doc that say a tutor gives us with a bunch of practice questions, and then take that into Crimson Editor, and then format it so the question is on line 1, the multiple choice answers are on lines 3,4,5, and 6, (for the next question, the question would be on line 11, and the answers on lines 13, 14, 15, and 16, and so on) and then take that saved .txt file into my program, hit the generate button, and it will spit out the .xml file, and then import that into the quiz software to generate the online quiz.
Here is an attached screenshot of my program layout so far:
I figured out how to open a text file by watching simple youtube tutorials, but I don't know how to have it generate the stuff and have it show up in the bottom text box. I know how to do the coding to convert the txt to proper xml code but I don't know how to be able to save the contents of the bottom text window to an xml file.

I am completely new to ASP.NET programming, and was asked to work on a small project involving ASP.NET, VB (which I am new to as well) and Microsoft SQL Server 2005.Being used to php/java I was hoping to find some kind of similar API to php.net and the javadoc. It would be very useful to have as I would prefer to work with a text editor, instead of using DreamWeaver or Visual Web Developer. In the project I basically only need to use ASP.NET to read from a SQL 2005 database and write to JSON files. where to find a clean and decent API to work with?

How to clean up a string in Visual Basic .NET? I'm creating a string as a report with line breaks. However, the string is built based off of screen scrapes from a TN3270 emulator. The string is saved successfully with all of the data I require, but those annoying rectangle symbols show up once I send it to a notepad text file. Do you know anyway I can strip those out and clean up the output?
