How can I get the Item top, left, width and height properties in a ListView control?
In VB6 we use to do something like this:
Private Sub ListView1_ItemClick(ByVal Item As MSComctlLib.ListItem)
Debug.Print Item.Left, Item.Top
End Sub
When the user enters string for width or height, it throws an exception. How to catch that exception?

Can a usercontrol inherate an application defined class ie.. could you inheritance a classic rect class into a user control to add the hight and width properties to the control without having to do all the coding all over again? Currently I just declair a private instance of the class within the control and then encapsalate. It would be nice if I could just inherit all the functionality of my classes into controls designed to implament the classes.
View 1 RepliesI'm using a list box control and I've specified an item height of 25 and DrawMode of OwnerDrawFixed as well as coded up all the necessary ListBox_DrawItem code to get this to work. My problem is when it displays my list all the items are top justified in the list. I want them to be centered and right justified so when the are selected they are in the center of the highlighted box, not at the top of it. Does anyone know how to do this?

I have a list box on the form which functions as a copy/paste. When you copy something, it is automatically added to the list box as a "clipboard helper". Here is the problem,however: if the text is more than 1 line, the list box does not show all the text.It ends up looking messy.So getting back to my question, is it possible to make the list box item height for an item depending on the amount of lines that item contains?This is a one line sentence in the list box and should take up one line.This is a multi line sentence in the list box and should take up two lines for item height.

I therefore want to be able to merge the right amount of rows to make the text fit cleanly.My idea was to try and find the height of a string when limiting it's width - essentially placing a piece of text into some kind of container, making that container fit to size (with a set width limit, in this case 640 pixels), and measuring the height of that container. With the height of the said container, I could then work out the amount of standard sized excel rows I want to merge.I tried to use a label but there's no way to set only the vertical element to be autosize.

I want all the listview columns to be in auto width. I tried adding the next line of code but then only my first column fills my entering listview width. All other columns are not affected!

I have the darndest problem. One of my forms resizes itself. In the development environment the size is 605/301. When the program runs it is much larger. In the form_load event I put the me.Width & me.Height commands and it still is much larger. I looked at the "hidden" windows forms code and can't see any resizing going on. I added a msgbox with the width & height. It says 605 & 301, yet the form is much larger.

I'm working on a Remote Desktop Control in VB.NET. However, I have no clue how to get the location where the user clicked on the picturebox.
There's a picturebox with the captured screenshot and when he clicks on the picturebox, I have to grab the width and height where the user clicked. This is not the width,height from the whole screen but from the picturebox.
