I like to have a code which switches cursor to 2 lines by clicking a button (or with checkbox). Both lines starts from the edge of window and at the intersection is the cursor's position.
View 1 RepliesI am wanting to add a date to a database if a checkbox is checked when clicking the save button on the DataBindingNavigator. If it is unchecked I want it to add nothing to the database but if there is something there it clears it. Why can't you add a blank value to a database? I'm stuck on how I can accomplish this. I believe there wont be any diff if user clicks the button on the form and the click event is fired OR if we call the button click event / function in the code. Because in one my project, this does make diff. If I click the button on the form, the App works great but same button if I click it thru the form code, the whole process crashes. This happens in Vista / VB.net.

I my form: If the button is clicked, a Text Box will be created in the form.
Then if the button is clicked again, another text box will appear and so on and so forth.
When the user clicks the Exit button it closes the forms and if there was an open file it asks the user is they would like to save. But after the application closes there is still memory being held in Processes by the application. However, when pressing the [X] in the top of the form the application closes again but in this instance it is not held in Processes. How do I write the close for Exit to take into account how the [X] works and close the application cleanly?

I am writing a little 'macro' functionality into my multi-line textbox. All going ok except i don't know how to move the cursor up or down lines (simulating the arrow keys), and the 'Home' and 'End' keys.
I would like to avoid the whole 'SendKeys' thing if possible...
On a webpage they have a checkbox that has an onchange, assuming this is javascript from my past knowledge. However in VB.NET when i click this checkbox by id, name, or even class it doesn't trigger the onchange to tell there webpage that the box is checked.
I'm assuming that i need to use javascript to tell the webpage that the checkbox is checked or somehow implement a browser or java itself into the webbrowser if that is the problem.

[code] With these 3 subs (above) I can track the cursor movement with my window & can draw a horizontal & vertical lines from the location of the cursor. No problems there. Problem is I only want one set of lines ( thus mimiking extended cross hairs) & what I get is persistance. Previous line drawings, cannot be erased out & hence I get a colouring/paint effect in the rectangle. Great if you want that, but I do not want that. How can I negate that effect & draw only 2 lines which follow the cursor location?

I am able to get it to do both but when I add an item to the list, convert to a range and then convert back to a list it leaves off the last items I entered.I tried to work in a code to select all cells but I must not be putting it in the right place.This is what I have so far:

When you use enter button on the keyboard it doesnt work.Is there anyway I can allow enter button also to be used rather than ONLY clicking 'OK' button.

I'm brand spanking new and trying to learn VB.net on my own but am doing a horrible job. It seems I can follow basic tutorial instructions and do them correctly but not learn how to do things on my own.

I'm trying to make the program click on the "Join" button on that website, and with the code above it does click on the join button, but it seems to ignore any type of javascript involved with the button, therefore giving some type of website error. Is there a better way to click that button so it won't produce any website errors?
