In Between Values From Chart?
Sep 7, 2011i have a Chart made in visual designer in vs2010, with some points added like x=3,8,10 Y=2,8,4. Is there any way to extract value for example for x=5 ?

VSTO - Excel Chart, Subtitle For Chart - Access Chart Text Box From Code?
Oct 14, 2011I have a chart in Excel that I'd like to use a subtitle on. There is no SubTitle Property on the chart object, so I looked in the Excel User interface and found that you can only create a sub-title by using a text box. The text box looks like its associated with the chart, not the worksheet, so how would I access that text box from code?

Dec 24, 2011i have a dice program that will find the random numbers according to user input as regards dice and throws required. My problem is when i have to display all the values in a listbox but in a horizontal type, were if a value came out more than once it displays the number and a bar for each time it come out and also at the end show the count of the times the number came out, to have a better idea the final chart needs to be displayed in the following format in a listbox as in the long run the program needs to run in a web application, but i am writing and testing in a window form application, then i will transfer to web application and use session variables and timers to control the output and the graph.

My code till now is that i have a class were a roll dice method and a similar values method are kept and from the form in the roll button these two methods are called and the results are shown in two listboxes one for how the roll dice random numbers with duplicates is shown and the other listbox displays only the numbers without duplicates.Also another method for the graph is in the class clsNDie but it seems that i have something wrong it this area?

I also have the result of these three as by using some conventional way and got improved these three delay results by proposed way.
Results are store in textboxes. Now i want to show graphically. E.g. I want to show conventional service disruption time on x axis and proposed service disruption time on y axis or vice versa. Let suppose I want to have a scale on axes from 1 to 3000 milliseconds. Then I want to show how purposed scheme is better. I am using VB.Net 2008

A chart element with the name '0' could not be found in the 'ChartAreaCollection'.i also tried using ChartAreas(Default") but i am getting same idea.I don't get what for this chartAreas value in parenthesis is used.

Mar 7, 2011How to set up a Chart using the new MS Chart control. I want to be able to populate the data via SQL because the user will be able to dynamically change the values via drop downs. The format of the data will be the same (Qty, Time Period) but the Focus of that data will change. I'm honestly not sure where to start, I can draw the chart but I have no idea how to populate it with data via code so it can be changed dynamically.

May 17, 2012Is it possible to create a plot from List(Of Decimal) values in Excel with VB? I would like to avoid dumping data directly into a table, then creating the chart from that. Here is what I have so far, but I am getting a data type mismatch when I try to assign .XValues and .Values to the list. Is there some sort of conversion that needs to happen to turn a list into a series?

Mar 23, 2012How do I dynamically add or remove a chart series on a WinForm. To date all my MS Charting experience has been dealing with ASP.Net charts with static sql select statment to a SQL Database. In the new project that I have been assigned I have different cities with different amounts of points that they want monitored. One city might have 3 an another might have 5 or 7 so I can't hard code the amount of series that I need. It needs to be set up so the amount of series can be flexible depending on the city selected and then display those points on the chart.

Also, if I try and do multiple lines it does not always work out very well. I tried different ColumnLabels and they behave very strange as well. What I want is to be able to have several lines. Mar 12, 2010I'm having problem with MS Chart chart type column. If there are only 9 bar in the chart like the following picture, then the axis-x label show up properly.
However, there are more than 9 bars bar the chart, the axis-x label wont show up properly, some of them just dissappear.

RDLC Chart - Produce A Chart Showing The Month Along The Y-axis And The Value Up The X-axis
Jan 8, 2009I have the smallest dataset in the world that simply consists of a month (text) and and amount. I want to produce a chart showing the month along the y-axis and the value up the x-axis. How do I do it? I have dragged the chart control onto the report page and populated the dataset. The chart shows but nothing like what I would expect. Just to make it simple I populated the dataset with an amount equivalent to the month number so it should show as 1 in January, 2 in Feb etc...However no matter where I drag the dataset's column names I don't get what I want. Where am I going wrong?
I use this simple loop to populate the dataset:

Sep 18, 2009I can't figure out how to plot anything on this chart...finally got it to actually display a pie chart, now I'm trying to somehow bind a data source to it and from there, select the series data..I have added the database to the project as a data source but I don't know how to bind it to the pie chart. some other info: this db has 100's of tables and the program I'm working on is going to be a "status monitor" of sorts that will contain about 6-8 different types of charts all plotting different info for me in chart form.I want to bind this one data source to all the charts and just have them display different information (based on the sql query perhaps)

Aug 5, 2010Basically I've coded an Excel 2007 project in VB.NET 2010 that allows you to create charts with a fair amount of interactivity. I want the user to be able to save and reopen this workbook and still have that interactivity in any already-created charts, so they don't have to re-create them.
When I create the charts, I use Sheet1.Controls.AddChart(...), which returns a Microsoft.Office.Tools.Excel.Chart with which I can handle events and such. However, when I reopen the file and look through the Sheet1.Controls collection, there are no Chart objects. Accessing the charts through Sheet1.ChartObjects.Chart gives me Interop Charts, when I need the Tools Charts.
