I'm doing a school project with arrays and I want it so that I input a part number and it outputs a image, price, and name for the part. I need to accomplish this using the array. We've only ever done arrays where you input a part number and one thing comes back out, not multiple.

One number is represented with four hex values.First two hex parts are my "whole number" part, third and fouth hex numbers are my "decimal" part. I just wanted to store my complete number (whole and decimal) in an excel table.My problem is following when I am storing whole part and decimal part of my number separately, then it works fine am getting f.e. 3017 and 0,9445123 in my excel table, but when I am concatenate them, then I am getting following expression in my excel table f.e. 30,179,445,123 but I want 3017,9445123.

I have an existing database that I want to add a number to that the user inputs. So lets say that in the database there is 4 carrots, and the user on the addinventoryform inputs 3 carrots and pushes a button. Now I want that number to be added to the database number so in the database there would now be seven carrots. I am using an oledb connection and cannot figure this out.

How I can compare a gif image I have with a certain part of the screen. For example lets say I have the gif for the Close window button (top right hand of the window incase your confused). Basically, I need the program to detect when an image comes onto the screen.NOT a pixel color at a certain coordinate, it is similar to this but instead of one pixel, it should detect multiple ones.is there any way I can put the image I want to detect in a picturebox, and it will go look at that image and keep checking to see if it exists on the screen?I have it working for pixel detection (only 1 pixel), but it isn't very reliable as there could be many other instances of this color on the screen.
I've got an unusual request. I have an image that will always have bounds that are of Base 2 (2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64,...) in both dimensions. I need to know if there's a way that I can get a small 16 x 16 square (or smaller, still of base 2) portion of the image. I'm planning on overlaying a grid on this image that way the user can select a portion of it and then the program creates a dynamic image from the selected grid square to use. Is this possible to do? I did a quick search on the Image class and didn't see anything that stood out. Note: This is for framework 2.0, but not picky about jumping to 4.0 if necessary.

Now, is there a way to find the part of the background image concealed by the ListView, and then display it as a background image of the ListView at decreased opacity? I was about to create a program about CPU Scheduling (SJF Nonpreemptive), Now, I want to ask the user to input the no. of processes ,then based from the user's input I would display exact no. of text boxes where the user could enter the value for each process then store it in an array. But I don't know how to code the text box., I'm new to VB.net and I'm used to it's 'drag and drop' nature. I just want to know how the code to output this text boxes. and is it possible to have an array of text boxes?

I'm attempting to learn VB in college. My first project is to create a program in Small Basic and then write it in Visual Basic. I'm looking for the equivalent of TextWindow.ReadNumber() from Small Basic in Visual Basic. I want to force the user to input a number not letters. I'm writing this program for the Console. Is this possible? During my testing I entered a word instead of numbers and the program crashed.

Actually, I wanted to validate the todayMonth textbox just to input number between 1 to 12. The problem comes out when I do this procedure : Lets say I input an interger 11 and it passes the validation and proceed to another textbox. Then I click back to the todayMonth textbox, it shows this error :
"Conversion from string "" to type 'Integer' is not valid."
I don't know why my value in the textbox is "null" or empty . I still saw the value 11 on the textbox.
