View 3 RepliesI have written a program that requires a particular image to appear in a picturebox. The image will be 1 out of 114 possibilites and the correct one is determined at runtime. I have all 114 images loaded into resources and I have the program correctley selecting the name of the jpg. I have the name of the jpg set to a variable (string) named gsSBdetail and I can make the name of the jpg file appear in a textbox. What code would I write to make the jpg in resources with the name assigned to gsSBdetail appear in a picturebox? NOTE: I have all of the names of the jpg's in a table in a SQL server database and use a multi parameter query to select the correct jpg file name, which in turn is assigend to the gsSBdetail variable. Is ther a way to load jpg's into the SQL server table and just select the jpg file itself for the picture box?

View 3 RepliesI am currently making a server monitoring application that pings the server to check its uplink, so far it creates all the picture boxes and labels for each server, and then pings the server, although I have a picture that I want to change dependant on the result.
Below is the code I am currently using, the problem occurs with the objectname variable which allows dynamic coding, where i get a error, saying that "Public member 'image' on type 'String' not found".
Private Sub Ping()
Dim i As Integer
Dim objectName As System.Object
For i = 1 To count - 1

I'm still trying to follow this sample:

Under Visual Studio it's working fine but, when I try to publish on IIS it doesn't works. This is the situation: under my Website I created a Upload.vb class under App_Code folder that implements IHttpHandler, IRequiresSessionState. On web.xml I wrote this rows:
<remove verb="POST,GET" path="Upload.axd"/>
<add verb="POST,GET" path="Upload.axd" type="Upload"/>
On Page.aspx I added this code:
<FlashUpload:FlashUpload ID="flashUpload" runat="server"
UploadPage="Upload.axd"
FileTypeDescription="Images" FileTypes="*.doc; *.xls; *.pdf; *.docx; *.xlsx"
UploadFileSizeLimit="0" TotalUploadSizeLimit="0" />
I followed the sample and my class has not namespace. I read on internet that this error happens when IIS is not able to find the class.
I'm a newb to ASP.NET and I made an app in VS2010 using NET 4.0 (Working all fine in debug mode) I tried to host my app @ aspspider and I'm getting the following error: Parser Error Description: An error occurred during the parsing of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific parse error details and modify your source file appropriately. Parser Error Message: Could not load type 'AuthStealerPanel._Default'. Source Error: Line 1: <%@ Page Language="vb" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeBehind="Default.aspx.vb" Inherits="AuthStealerPanel._Default" %> I also tried to rebuild the .dll and upload it to the /bin/ and application's root.

I am trying to implement a Custom HttpHandler (for the first time), I have been given a tutorial to follow but couldn't get it to work. I then found another tutorial but couldn't get that to work, they are both giving me the same error message.
The custom handler is to protect people from downloading certain file types, although i think the error is somekind of configuration problem as I can't get the website to work at all once I add the httpHandlers to the Web.Config file.
