How would I fix this as well as being able to go diagonally.Would this work?:Declare a bool value for each keypress below the public class thingy. Then use keyup to turn the bool off and keydown makes it go on. Then for the first player and second player I check if they are on and if they are than go to that direction...I think I would need a timer for that part but I dunno...

How do I make a continue button where the players progress is already saved? What is the code? Would I be able to make it so that the gamer can only access the levels that they have completed, they can't play the unlocked levels yet.

I play with my friends and I'm trying to make it a little bit easier.Before every round of combat players roll dice for Initiative. It basically tells the games manager who goes first and in what order the rest of the players go. When players roll for initiative they roll 20 sided dice. On Form1 I have a button that says "Initiative" which opens another window where the manager would type in each players values. If they don't then it should automatically close the form but instead the application hangs. If the first player uses three tries then it "should" automatically close. Here it is:

I have 1000 frames and id like to create an application that will use all those frames and create a video file. I dont care about the file format(.wmv/.avi/...). Functions Needed:
Player has 40 pb that act as the visual inventory or display the item in that slot.

I set up my armor menu to allow drag an drop of the item but again not sure how to even get the inventory system created to finish the armor menu to allow the object to be dragged into its box and remove its self from the player inventory.I think I need to make a array for 39 or 40 in my adventurestorage class. That part Im pretty certain of but how do I set that part up? I have over 200 images that need to act as a item that can be dropped into the inventory.
Basically I download lots of TV shows and they're never named in the way I like; they're named like this "The Office.S06E22.HDTV.XviD-NoTV."So I was wondering if I had a .txt file with all the episode names I could make a program to rename all the video files in the right order so they're named like this "The Office Season 6 Episode 22 - Secretary's Day."So I want to copy and paste a list of correct episodes names into a text file. Then I want to read the text file, which I already know how to do. Then, and this is the bit I'm struggling with, I want to read the text file, one line at a time, and it renames the top video file with the top episode name and so on.

I've read that if you install it to WMP, then it will automatically work to MediaElement. It did work first, but then i had DivX installed, when i uninstall'd DivX, it stopped working.
I am trying to make a telnet application to communicate with a special video player I have, I have gotten the telnet session to connect to the video player (server) but it won't respond back....I think the problem might be with the coding...the strData string below is supposed to be the replies I get back from the server, but it won't show any strings on the screen.

I have an .avi video (500 MB-50 minutes) that I embedded using the following code in VB.NET:

Worked fine except that it took approx 5 minutes to load. Converted it to a wmv file (cutting it down to 300 MB) and it started playing instantly while it download. Unfortunately there are some computers that will not play it for some reason. It will load and the timer starts up as if the video is playing but there is just a black screen. I ran some tests and determined that it's not a browser issue.
How can I upload a video that instantly plays on all computers?
Where can I find the slider control that i used in vb6... is there one for VB2010?
View 6 RepliesI am upgrading from VB6 and started working with VB.Net (VS2005). One problem I have was controls avilable in VB.Net. I can use a slider bar in VB6, but couldn't find any quivalent in VB.net(.Net Framework Components)!! I don't know why I can choose one in COM components, but these requires project generated DLL's to run. I want to distribute just the executable.My questions are:
-Is there any slider bar in VB.Net Framework Components?
-If there is none, Can I use COM component and bundle everything into one Executable? Also is it possible a list of controls in .Net as I find in vb6: url....
I cant seem to find one, but there are referances to one on the net. I want to use a slider control to alter the brightness of a light bulb.
