Msword - Open Word Document From Dynamic Directory?

I have a program for which I have developed a user guide. I have placed this user guide within the project directory. I created a MenuStrip Item by which to open the user guide in Word on the user's machine. I was successfully able to do this with the following code:

userGuide = MSWord.Documents.Open("C:UsersadministratorDocumentsVisualStudio2010Project3UserGuide.doc")
MSWord.WindowState = Word.WdWindowState.wdWindowStateNormal

The problem is, the path used to open the file will not exist on the users machine. This is a standalone system, so no file share can be created in which to place the document, therefore no common path can be coded.Is there a way to code dynamic paths? Perhaps something like:
userGuide = MSWord.Documents.Open("%windir%UserGuide.doc")

I have a function on my program that allows a user to load a listbox filled with words that are matched with words inside a databank. The databank is filled with 2 string arrays and file of .jpg Pictures. The Arrays attached to each word inside the listbox are approximately one page. Each page is two paragraphs of Text(string Array) and one Picture(20Kbytes).My problem is this. When the user selects the option print all, the listbox with approximately 10255 words is selected and begins to fill a Microsoft Word Document.Because the alotted amount of space needed for the MS Word Document is approximately 5 Gbytes,I need to open about 10 Documents and insert the String Array's and Pictures into each document one at a time.Is there anyway to check the filesize of the Open Document before saving the document.This way I could check the open document inside the algorithm for 512 Mbytes of memory and save the document before the size gets above 512 Mbytes.[code]

First off a short background of the project I am working on- I am developing a program that will be run off removable media (i.e. USB Flash drive). This will be a �virtual desktop� which you will be able to take with you and have the same �desktop� on any system. As we know drive letters can change with each host system the drive is plugged into, I need to be able to determine the path for the flash drive and access a specific folder ( i.e. My Documents)
I have an picture box(representing the icon) placed on my form (form1) and when I click the icon I want to be able to open and view the a specific folder from the portable drive. I need a click event that will determine a dynamic drive letter for a directory on the removable drive and then open that directory in an explorer window.

I am reading datas from MSWord Document. I know how to read the file. the sample text in my MSword. C# code review checklist. My current client uses PSP extensively, so I've been putting together a checklist for reviewing C# code for use on our new project.
1.Are exceptions used to indicate error rather than returning status or error codes?
2.Are all classes and public methods commented with .NET style comments? Note that <summary> comments should discuss the "what" of public methods. Discussion of "how" should be in <remarks> blocks or in-line with the code in question?
3.Are method arguments validated and rejected with an exception if they are invalid?
4.Are Debug.Asserts used to verify assumptions about the functioning of the code? Comments like, "j will be positive" should be rewritten as Asserts.
5.Do classes that should not be instantiated have a private constructor?
6.Are classes declared as value types only infrequently used as method parameters, returned from methods or stored in Collections?
7.Are classes, methods and events that are specific to an assembly marked as internal?

so in this i need to read the question only. but when i am reading i am getting the hgeader text also.

I am using vb 2010, and i really would like to Just open, not modify a word document.
Now i have browsed the internet, and this is what i have found..in project menu>refferences> select .. microsoft word 9.0 object library

Does anyone know why should I open a document in Word 2007 (either via VB6 or VB.NET) and even be open read-only and the Ribbon disabled?
Do not just be read-only, because the citizen can click the Office button or Save and "Save As".

I have posted this in other parts of the forum but either im not understanding what they are saying or they arent understanding my question.My goal is to open a word document or an excel spreadsheet from within my seperate VB app. bounce some of my calculated variables and images out to specific markers in that document, and then print the document.
I can Open my office doc, I can send the test variables out the way they need to go out. I cannot get an image to go out to th open document from within my vb app.I feel like it is something relatively dumb in my code but i cannot figure it out.

The issue i have with that line is that even though i have made a picture object in my excel sheet called Picture1 it is not public and i cannot access any of its members to modify it.

I am using webbrwoser control to open Word document for editing on winform using vb.net. (vs 2005). Now once user edit the word document, I want to forcefully save that edited document to my document when user directly close win form or user will try to EXIT. Unfortunately, word doc which open on webbrowser control if it is edited and when winfrom is being closed it won't ask us to save where as independent word document aske to save changes. I tried to call method "ShowSaveasDialog()" of webbrowser control on winform close event it did not fire up.

The application I support is creating an amalgamted Word document by copying couple of Word documents in one document right after each other. The problem is the format of the some of the fields of the document that gets appended is changed in amalgamated document while the amalgamated document is the copy of AppendDocument (imagine if we have one document to copy in the amalgamated document)

We are opening a Word document from our Visual Basic 2010 application using the Word object. When we run our application under Windows Server 2008 the document name is truncated in the main window title for the document. This is not the case when we run our application under Windows XP.
