Music Studio - Real Music Video Where Can Play Many Sound At Any Time
Nov 1, 2011
Hey guys, I'm a new guy in VB.NET. I am proposing my final year project a title called music studio. My version of music studio is like real music video where we can play many sound at any time. For example, the application that I want to build can create many button and also add an audio along with it. And then, when we hit the 1st button, it play 1st audio. while 1st audio play, we also can hit 2nd button and 2nd audio is playing. for example, 1st audio is sound of man walking, and then 2nd audio is the sound of glass break. lastly 3rd sound sound of police siren play. Is it cool? so, my question is, is it possible the I can build an application by using VB.NET?
Ive been wondering how to do this in Vb easly for awhile but Ive found no real solutions. So far everythign in Vb has a easy way to accomplish a goal from what I've seen. So I'm hoping someone will have a simple solution to this question. I'm making a simple game and I want background music to play in the background. An I want sound FX's to play with out stopping the background music from playing. Best thing I can think of would be a loop but every time I play a new sound, it stops the other sound. So how would I accomplish this task?
I've created a new form in my program and dragged the windows media player into the form. I have an mp3 in a resources folder within the project. I've set the URL to the name of the mp3. I've looked at tutorials but they make the windows player accessible to the users. I just want the user to be able to hear the music and not be able to change anything regarding the background music.
I want the music to start playing at runtime and continue to loop for now. I will eventually want to switch up the background music depending on which form the user is on. But for now I would be happy just getting a single mp3 to play continuously.
Is it possible I can read in a file as such to a byte array or other method & have the file playback from memory & not a file on the filesystem?
I am trying to do this because the file may be deleted right away if it's not needed & if I can add it to a byte array I can clean up before it starts playing & clear the files but if I have to keep them if the program is ended abruptly or crashes then it never gets a chance to clean up & I don't want to chance files being left behind for a long time till my program is re-opened to clear them...
NOTE:The files i'm trying to play currently are .mp3 files if that makes a difference for the method(s) I have to use if any exist to allow it to play from memory...
Basically, I want to trigger music to play in its natural environment (itunes, WMP, Zune, whatever) from a console app, but I can only find ways of playing .wav files, which most of the files i want to play are not.
I have a listbox with FileInfo in it so it can be music, when button11 is pressed for the songs to play in mediaplayer1 (axwindowsmediaplayer1) in a random order, then when the song finishes the next will play.
I have a project in vb 2010 that im working on. I want to know if I publish this and make it downloadable when it is done will my background music be heard by others? I am pretty sure it's only playing on mine because the song is on my computer right? Is there a code to make it so it stays even if i make this program downloadable?
I started making a program, and I wanted to insert music to play. i just added music to the resources and used the code my.computer.audio.play(my.resources.name_of_the_file and so on. this worked perfectly until I added the 5th song. the resource file became to large and vb said it was corrupt. so I thought of a new way: making a music file opener. I made a code so a window opens where you can select your .wav files. that all worked, but I couldn't get it so the music would start automaticly or that it would actually play. this is the code I have so far:
vb.net Dim Open As New OpenFileDialog() Open.Filter = "Wav [*.wav*]|*.wav" Open.CheckFileExists = True
as you can see I put stars in the place where I have no idea what I have to do next. I e.g. tried my.computer and a path
Visual Basic 2010 Windows Forms Application I am trying to create an application that will allow a user to choose from a menu option in ListBox, click "Play" button, and the application will play music, and transition between 3 pictures.
I am making a Windows Service and i need to play either a WAV or MP3 from within the service (no using external program like WMP) May I ask which is the easiest way to go about this with built in stuff on VS 08. I don't mind which I use whether its WAV or MP but I only need to use one of them.
I have an application and in this application there is a search option. I want the seach to search for all music and video files. I keep getting UnauthorizedAccessException error and I'm assuming its because my application is trying to access a file for witch access is being denied. This is the code that I am using.tbsearch is textbox and results is the listbox that the search results get added to.
Dim dirPath As DirectoryInfo = New DirectoryInfo("G:") For Each file As FileInfo In dirPath.GetFiles (tbsearch.Text & "*.mp3", SearchOption.AllDirectories) results.Items.Add(file.FullName) Next
Also, how can't I make it so that only the name of the file found is added, not the full path. I know that I could instead of using file.FullName use file.Name but then I can play the media file because the application wont know where to find it. Any code that I could use to add only the found file name to the listox? Perhaps I need another hidden listbox that get the full name and then the results listbox retrieves only the last part of the path?
I have a doubt. I'd like to make a program where you can drag music files (mp3, flac, wav, wma..) and video files (avi, mpeg, mp4, vob, mov) and get the property values of this ones... For example, bitrate, KBps, size, etc, to put them in textbox or listboxes.
What i want to do is make a music player that will play a song in the .exe format, so an app will open and automatically play a song. This is to prevent ripping and copyright issues. I made a app using the WMP Com Component but that of course requires the file to be opened.
Private Sub Button6_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button6.Click If FolderBrowserDialog1.ShowDialog = Windows.Forms.DialogResult.OK Then Dim files() As String = IO.Directory.GetFiles(FolderBrowserDialog1.SelectedPath)
I am having problems locating any documentation or examples for rendering video on a form using DirectX. I need to use DirectX because I will be putting overlay's on the video loaded dynamically. I will also want to perform transitions between 2 video instances.
I can not find any documentation on Google or Microsoft's site, Such as render the video on a 3d object as a texture, maybe... IDK?
This is for Visual Studio 2010, .net framework 4.0, using vb.net.
Basically i'm trying making a task manager program for myself. I want to know how I can display a message box and or play a sound when system time = time displayed in listview. I have used a dropdown box for the user to select which option they would like to select - sound or message box to popup. The data for the task will be stored in a listview box. I want it so that when the date and the time is = to the date and time set for the reminder the action will follow.Here is my code so far:
Private Sub Button2_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button2.Click Dim notext As String = "" If TextBox1.Text = notext Then[code]....
I have a program which have to play a sound at a specific time in each day.Currently I made a timer with 450 interval and I put a code in it which check if datetime.now = mytime then it will play the sound.(the program runs in background)
It is working but the problem is that sometimes it doesn't play the sound. I think I didn't used a proper way to this.I have even tried checking datetime.now.hour & .minute & .second with mytime to make sure it does play it at the right time But I don't know why the timer sometimes miss it and the play sound won't be run.
So I found the Windows Media player and added it on my form. I have a sample wmv called bear.wmv file in my solution explorer. How do I get the video to play? I was hoping for a smart tag and just connect the player to the wmv file,
I have background sound loop with the My.Computer.Audio and it works fine. I want to play another sound (like a beep) when desired without stopping the background sound. Several examples I have found don't seem to work. I am in VB.NET 2008 Professional.
In short words I am looking for a .NET translation of JFugue.Update I realize that there is no real .NET alternative for JFugue,Note: I want to emphsize that my search is on the transcription part, not the playing part, in other words, I am looking for a .NET engine that has MIDI-mapping classes etc.
i am using visual basic 2008 express. i want to know how i can get my application to play a song when a button is clicked. i do not want the user to be able to select the song and i need to be able to move the program between computers. I need the user to be able to play and pause then song and i preferably want to use windows media player. i am having trouble adding a file to the windows media player tool and have been searching for an answer but have only found how to let the user select the file from the hard drive.
I am relatively new to Visual Basic so this may seem like a simple question. I was wondering I anybody knew how to add music to a visual basic program. Just one want a song to start playing upon the loading
