May 14, 2010I am setting my Winforms Button control properties to appear as a hyperlink would on a web page. I've formatted everything fine, except the border in the FlatAppearance object. I have code to act as pseudo-CSS (FormBackColor is a string constant.):

The code removes the border from the flat Button control except on MouseOver, where I add a 1 pixel border. On MouseLeave, I remove the border. This is to show some visual feedback. This works fine when the button does not have the focus. However, if I click on the button, giving the button focus, mousing out and over again now shows a greater than 1 pixel border around the button. I'm imagining it's combining my button's explicit 1 pixel border with the traditional "Winform Button has the focus, so add a border" border around the Button.How can I disable/remove the "Winform Button has the focus, so add a border" border? Or, should I just do a check in ButtonMouseOver to check if the control has the focus, being a condition of adding the border, and just be done with it?

VS 2010 Remove The 3d Border Style Of A MDI Parent Form?
Jun 5, 2011i'm having a few small problems concerning my MDI child forms.
1). I have a panel that is docked to the parent form so i can change the background colour of the parent form. (the background property doesn't seem to work on MDI parents).But my childforms appear underneath this panel, is there a way to make them appear on top of the panel? (i've tried using .topmost = true).
2). Is there a way to remove the 3d border style of a MDI parent form?

Feb 12, 2011I'm having some difficulty with a sorted & grouped listbox in WPF vb.net 3.5 that has an items source bound to an ObservableCollection.
What I want to be able to do is to retrieve a piece of data from the ObservableCollection items source depending on what item in the listbox the user has selected.I've almost got it working but because the listbox is sorted it does not match the index of the items source.

The user can then change the data in the textboxes and either press save to make the changes or cancel to close the window. I have two listboxes: 'listbox1' for what the password is for, and 'listbox2' for the password. I also have a remove button. I would like it so when you press the remove button, the selected item in listbox1 is removed and the password in listbox2 is also deleted. The passwords are stored in two settings: what, and pw. The items that will be deleted will have the same value. By value i mean they will be the same number item. E.G. the 1st item, or the 3rd item in the list.
