I am coding on Visual Basic 2010 and need some My Access database table has following information:
FirstName
LastName
PhoneNumber
Basically what I am trying to do is create a Search function where the user will enter a First and Last Name in the search boxes and upon hitting the ''Search'' button the program will look through the database and check if the records exists.
If the record does exist then I want the Phone number to appear in a separate textbox which is named txtPhoneN. I have included the code I use to connect to the Database. I have already managed code the part to Add new record to the database.

I have figured out how to get the Integer Location of the apostrophy, but can't get it to color the rest of the line. I don't know how to tell the program to find the integer value of the last character in the line. I need that to be able to subtract the apostrophy's location from the last character's location, to get the "SelectedLength". Then I can add that to the apstrophy's location to give the SelectedLength the SelectionColor.This code was thrown together from excerpts of several codes I found on the web. I'm trying to create a linked list of an array of integers. Why is the following implicit conversion required?
When I run the code that contains that conversion, I get the following error.
As a real-time data acquisition user control data (a packet of an array of bytes) arrives every second, is converted into an integer array and inserted into a linked list.
The most recently arrived data is painted as coordinates on a grid at the right of a PictureBox using Graphics.DrawLine (pen,X1,Y1,X2,Y2).
The oldest data (arriving 120 seconds ago) will be drawn at the leftmost portion of the Picturebox.
Why a linked list rather than a list? To display 120 views of time sequence data, the draw routine the most recently inserted node to a node that points to Nothing. How do I limit the length of the linked list to 120 nodes and always ensure that the last node points to Nothing?

After reading the forum I was able to append .First() to noPic at the myNoPic declaration and finally get a result but that only gave me the first element. I want to take whatever number that is in front of the colon and store it in a variable called minutes, and whatever is after the colon and store it in a variable called seconds. I have everything declared and my code written, I just don't know how to take the text from a textbox and when the value is stored in my variable to only include up to the colon. I think it has to do something with the string remove method, and I can remove the colon, but I don't know how to get the characters after it. (and I can't use number of characters because I don't know how many the user will enter)

I am trying to get a percentage that just does not seem to work.I am using WMI to get the Total Physical memory of my system and then the Free Physical Memory. Then get the percentage.
2147483648 - Total Memory
838028 - Free memory
According to Task Manager my physical memory is 59%. This is the code I am using but I can not get 59% or 41% that is free.

When I try to compile the code I get a compiler error: Option Strict On disallows implicit conversions from 'Boolean?' to 'Boolean'. Whilst it's very simple for me to work around this, I was hoping that someone might be able to explain what's going in the compiler to give this warning.
