Jun 17, 2011
I have programmed a software that send emails it has CheckedListBox1 used to add emailsand CheckedListBox2 used to add atachments to be send to selected emails from CheckedListBox1so how to send email to checked email(s) from checklistbox1 with checked attachment(s) from checklistbox2?
If you see above code you can find that there is check box functionality in my gridview. I have email address boundfield in my gridview. I want to send an email to the email addresses which are been checked in gridview.
Ive created an emmail sender , but im stuck on the attachment part.I can attach the file no problem but when i send the mail the attachment is not there.
heres my code , hope some of you guys can see whats up. Ive put the attachment code in bold
I have designed an application. I want the user to send the attachment back to my gmail account. Does it matter which account they use inorder to send it back? I have seen lots of code from sending from a gmail account. I statrted to look at the below code THEN realised users will hae various accounts.
Private Sub Email_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Email.Click Dim mail As New MailMessage() Dim att = New Attachment("J:\vb\RizRandom\RizRandom\Results\UBM.xlsx")
I convert a SVG to canvas using canvg to an image and then vb.net client side I convert the image to bytearray() and saved it to a folder on my server so I can attached by email :
Protected Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click Dim path = Server.MapPath("PDFs") Dim fileNameWithPath As String = path + DateTime.Now.ToString().Replace("/", "-").Replace(" ", "-").Replace(":", "") + ".jpeg" Dim fs As FileStream = New FileStream(fileNameWithPath, FileMode.Create) Dim bw As BinaryWriter = New BinaryWriter(fs) [Code] .....
This code works fine and it send the image. Actually I don't need to save this image to my server I just wanted to send it without saving, this is what I have done so far. Protected Sub emailSend_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs) Handles emailSend.Click Dim customerChoice As String = DropDownList1.Text Select Case customerChoice Case "pdf" [Code] .....
Below im trying to send an email from VS 2005 with an attachment this will soon be running every monday where it will fire automatically but im just getting every thing working before it goes ahead! but for some reason the code doesnt send.....if i commentout the Attachment part it works fine so im kinda stuck on what it could be
' Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services Script Task ' Write scripts using Microsoft Visual Basic ' The ScriptMain class is the entry point of the Script Task.
I've made a project with two timers. The first one is responsible of screen capture process every 5 min with this code: PHP Private Sub Timer1_Tick(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Timer1.Tick Dim screenImage As New Bitmap(My.Computer.Screen.Bounds.Width, My.Computer.Screen.Bounds.Height) [Code] .....
And Timer 2 which is responsible for sending email with attachment with this code every One hour. PHP Try Dim message As New Net.Mail.MailMessage("test@gmail.com", "test2@gmail.com", "hello", "kindly find the attached file") Dim smtp As New Net.Mail.SmtpClient("smtp.gmail.com", 587) Dim credentials As New Net.NetworkCredential("test@gmail.com", "password") Dim msgattachment As New Attachment("d: est.Bmp) [Code] .....
Sometimes it happens that both timers works at same time so I get: "Can't access to D"Test.bmp, becauseits been used by another process' which is timer 1 while trying to save the BMP.
I have been able to find out how to send an email using smtp with an image as an attachment, but the problem with this, is that, as a txt message, it comes up as something like [Attachment removed] or something. I need to be able to send my cell phone a picture message, not just an attachment. [Code]
What to use for adding multiple attachment to a email. I'm using VB 2010.
First, I have a Form in my company web site to fill a reclamation ..... when you fill and send it, it convert the form into a PDF, save it in the client side "TEMP" and finally get the PDF and send it to a email..... that's perfectly fine. I add to the form the capability of attach multiple files with file upload to the same "TEMP" and displayed in a Grid View to remove or add files and send everything to a email, the attachment capability is working. Everything is working with the PDF not the files(attachments).
There is a way to get the multiple files from the "TEMP" folder and add it to some dynamically variable (array list, attachment collection, list collection, etc.) so all can be send to the email. I already know the way to put it into the email with the PDF.
The problem is to get the files and add it to the dynamic variable and that it work with the email. If the code is need it.
I am sending an email with an attachment using the following Code
Dim msg As New System.Net.Mail.MailMessage(req.EmailFrom, req.EmailTo) Dim att As New System.Net.Mail.Attachment("C:Documents and SettingsmichaelrDesktop1216259.pdf") With msg .Attachments.Add(att)
[code]....
The file size of the attachment is 396KB, upon the recipient receiving the email outlook shows the file size as 543Kb. Strange thing is if I send an email with the same attachment using outlook the file size is 396Kb.I understand that file sizes can increase due to the attachment being base 64 encoded as opposed to just raw binary.What I am failing to see is why outlook send a file which is 396KB in size but in code when sending it, the same file is 543Kb.
how would i implement a way that i would not hard code the email message that the application send to email recipients? how will i also include email message formatting (text in bold, italic, etc.)?
I'm trying to get my program to send very simple text email messages. I did do a search beforehand, and found that I was having the same issue as someone else, but the specific question I have was not answered --
I've learned that if you're trying to send mail, you need an SMTP server... I found this list here but every one of them I've tried yields the same "Failure sending mail" error.
Here's my
Dim mail As New MailMessage()
mail.From = New MailAddress("me@mycompany.com") mail.To.Add("destination-email@whatever.com")
[CODE]...
Is the problem that I need to show "credentials" (i.e. user/pass)? If so, what would those credentials be? Can I use my yahoo email SMTP server with my login info to do it? And is this all I'd need to add to add the credentials?
smtp.Credentials = New NetworkCredential("MyUsername", "MyPassword") (before the smtp.Send, of course)
I wouuld like to open outlook with new email with provided subject line, body message and attachment but no email address. User will enter the email address and click send . How can I do this?

my form contains a checked list box [data coming from the database] a combo box [bind to a database table product] and a listview [was previously a listbox]
project im working on for my course,the idea is a photo printing machine that loads up 4 images if usb stick is checked and a different 4 if memory card is checked. and then whatever image is selected appears in the big picturebox on the left [URL] i have 2 print size options set as radiobuttons, radiobutton 1 = 6x4, which costs 25cent per photo, radiobutton 2 = 8x10, and is 50cent per photo.i also have a textbox which will display the number of copies to be printed So here's my dilemma, when the print button is selected alongside one of the radiobuttons i want it to display a message saying something like this "you have selected (whatever the amount of copies)of this photo sized 6x4, or 8x10 depending on which radiobutton is selected, and i want it to display the total cost which is the number of copies multiplied by the rate for the print size selected, then an option saying "Do you wish to proceed" Yes or No.
I did something similar to this in class earlier in the year but cant remember it, it was an airline booking program with 3 types of payment cash, visa or mastercard,upon booking a message popped up saying there is a certain percentage discount for using visa or mastercard
How do I attach a file with a very unfriendly name (like a file with a session Id number in it) but have it attached as another name?
The file name in question has the session ID in it to avoid clashes name on the web server but when I attach it to the file, a friendlier name is preferable.
Is there a way to attach the file with the unfriendly name as another name so that when the user gets the email he can tell from the name what the content of the file is? I'd hate to have to create a unique folder just to put a non unique file name in it for the purpose of simply attaching it to an email.[code]...
Following code is to make adding an attachment to an email work. <%@ Page Language="VB" ContentType="text/html" ResponseEncoding="ISO-8859-1" Debug="true" %> <% @Import Namespace="System.Web.Mail" %> <% @Import Namespace="IO" %> <script language="vb" runat="server"> Sub btnSendEmail_Click(sender as Object, e as EventArgs) Dim objMM as New MailMessage() [Code].....
The problem is if I send more than one email to myself my email address keeps repeating itself in the "To" box. If I send an email to myself 3 times, the 3rd e-mails "To" box will say:
I've got a checked listbox on my form which saves the checked items to a spot in my database on the .ItemCheck event.But there's a problem, when I begin checking items, I check the box and click off it, but it doesn't save. (This is if I've only chosen one item)
If I choose two or more items it will save, but unchecking them takes a lot of clicking around to figure it out.Is there a better event that I can use? I've tried the SelectedIndexChanged and that has the same result, there's a lot of clicking around in the checkboxes to end up with the desired selected items, and it does not allow a single item.
Im making an emailng function and all works like a charm LOCALLY.But when i take it to the webserver the email attatchment is 0,0kb.. i figured it has something to do with the stream but i doesnt get any error-messages so its hard to tell.I cant use the stream on my server?Heres the code:
If FileUpload1.HasFile = True Then Dim tempFileName As String() = FileUpload1.PostedFile.FileName.Split(""c) Dim emailAttach As New Attachment(FileUpload1.PostedFile.InputStream, tempFileName(tempFileName.Length - 1))
for some reason whenever I send I email via my form it double sends me the email with the attachment. but the attachment don't work (filesize: 0) at all on the repeated email. [Code]

I downloaded AxCrypt and encrypted a pdf file. It creates an executable that self decrypts the file if the correct password is entered. This is what I need except that I have to email this self decrypting file - and we all know that exe files get blocked. Are there any self decrypting methods out there that do not use an executable file?
