Jan 20, 2009I need to save actual age (in whole years) for future use in the program. The problem is, 'Years' returns a big, fat 0 every time. Changing "Dim years As Integer" to Dim years As String" does exactly the same thing.

The year that has the most active storms is 2005, but I don't know how to write it in the code so that it displays. Attached is the text file.

Sep 22, 2009I have to create a program that ask the user to enter the amount of hours work for 5 diferent projects in textboxes. The user have to enter the time he worked in minutes. Ex: 153, 280, 600, 130, 20... The total then is out putted into a textbox in this format "13 Hours and 35 Minutes" I'm having dificulties making the conversion and the separation from hours and minutes. I understand that the total is divided by 60, but if we fallow the above numbers the total hours comes out to 1183 / 60 = 19.71. So I'm having problems with the .71 mnts or digits... so from this total I have to output the total of in this particular format: "19 Hours and ?

You must be able to select an employee type. An employee of type Trainee makes $10 per hour. An employee of type Regular makes $15 per hour. An employee of type Manager makes $20 per hour.
The program should calculate the employee pay for the week. The employee should receive 1 times the regular pay for any hours worked over the prescribed 40 hours in a week. The program should output the following information:
-The employees name without trailing or leading spaces
-Regular hours worked
-Regular pay
-Overtime hours worked
-Overtime pay
-Total pay
The Problem that i am having right now is "Displaying " the overtime hours on my "FORM VIEW" i mean i did the math right its just when i type (lblOverHrs.Text = CDec(CDec(OvrHrsWrkWeek1.Text) + CDec(txtOvrHrsWrkWeek2.Text))
Its says the "OvrHrsWrkWeek1 and 2" are not Declared which are..im not really sure where i went wrong..

but now that im looking at the data this is prolly only useful for simple data. Im wanting to seperate the data from queries into multiple boxes. Am i better off just manually having a connection to the database and running queries into arrays to sort the data?? The above method looks like im going to be trying to fight the databound stuff. There are two tables and the way the built in query builder is im starting to think its easier to write my own queries in variables or whatever.
