Visual Studio 2008 - Using Rhino Mocks' Expect.Call For A Mock Property In .NET?

The following C# code works just fine and the test passes as expected.

The Expect.Call line produces the following build error: "Overload resolution failed because no accessible 'Expect' accepts this number of arguments." What is the proper way to use Expect.Call with a mocked property in VB.NET? I've seen a couple posts that say Rhino Mocks works better in VB10, but I'm stuck with Visual Studio 2008 for this current project.

I am trying to create a unit test similar to how I would have done one in C# but am struggling with the lambdas in vb. Bascially I am trying to mock a class and then create a stub and return. In C# I would have done something like;
MockedPersonRepository
.Stub(x => x.Find(id))
.Return(person)

I have a read-only dictionary on a dependency that I'd like to be able to stub with return values, and check that assignments to it have happened.
I was hoping that Rhino.Mocks would create an empty dictionary for me by default, but unfortunately it doesn't. Since it is read-only, I can't create a new dictionary and assign it to that property.
I was hoping to be able to stub it instead. From what I understand, the C# syntax for this would looking something like this:
m.Stub(x => x.myProperty).Return("abc");
So I was hoping that this would work for VB:
m.Stub(sub(x) x.myProperty).Return("abc");
But it doesn't (compiler error). how to accomplish this? I'm open to the Expect/Verify syntax if it can accomplish this...

I remember that to set expectations on methods that return void in C# one has to write: mockedRepository.Expect(() => mr.AddUser(someUser)).DoOtherStuff()where AddUser returns void.How to achieve the same in VB.NET?

I am working to make a function that will update the back color of a text box based on multiple variables values. I can write the code to do the calculation, but I am not sure how to make the function realize which text box to update (as I will have about 30 different boxes). Below is the code that I have for each box so far, but I will have quite a few more, and would rather use a function to reduce the amount of code, and also make it cleaner as well.

Or is there a way that I can tell the function that it's updating the text box that call the function in the first place? Say if txtBox1 has updated text and calls the function, then the function 'knows' to update txtBox1, but will update txtBox2 when it's called by txtBox2.

I'm looking to call an excel macro (excel version 07) within a separate visual studio application (visual studio express 2010). Basically, a user clicks a browse dialog button to select a xls or xlsm file which is then added to a listbox. Next, I would like the macro to run when another button is clicked. The macro looks at the first column in excel and moves the listed .tif images from one folder to another. I referenced the excel libraries, but seem to be getting hung up on a few code statements (''''ERROR see code below). I have a Visual Basic project and when working and modifying code, the compiler will crash and then a message will say something like "Microsoft visual studio encountered a problem and was shut down." I've tried editing code from the solution and the project. Both produce the error. Usually occurs when adding an "IF...Then..." condition. May work for hours but then crash. Solution will compile and build.

Suppose I want a textbox to hold the actual value 888888888888.88 and show it formatted as 888,888,888,888.88. In short it should hold 'Double' data type value and show it with thousand separators and decimal places upto two digits. If text is cleared from the textbox, it should have 0 as value and 0.00 as displayed value. Also the number of digits in the textbox may vary accordingly. So how can it be done?

Long story short I made a form in VB.Net project which involves lots of icons and images. My problem is when I build my project, and then go back to that form, suddenly errors showed up.
The errors says : "The type 'MyProject.MyResources.Resources' has no property named 'myicon'". Just to be clear, it worked fine before I did the build, and it happened to every single images I have on Resource.
When I chose "Ignore and Continue" all of the images I used are gone. I tried to googled it, some says to delete my .exe file on Application/Bin/Debug folder, which is working. But this issue has been some kind of an annoying one, since it happens again every single time I build.

I have verified at the time that it disappears that the Min is 0, Max is 100, and Value is a valid integer in range.

I have been working on a game development program for a few days now. And have come to a halt on one part, and thats adding a 3D space in the program.
