Is there anyway to hide your window from the alt-tab window display? I have it set to not show in the taskbar but it still shows up when pressing alt tab and getting the window previews.

I have a window that opens another window. The opening time of the second window is quit long because the application needs to build a complex interface. The annoying thing is that if the user clicks on the first window this become black as death! Is there a way to prevent this annoying behaviour?

I have a LOT of panels within my program. I programmatically position and show/hide them based upon user input.
The problem is there are so many panels it's making it hard to work on them to add content, buttons, checkboxes, etc. I need a way to make them not show in the VB IDE.

I don't really use VB.NET much if not at all, but slowly will change from vb6. [Code] That works fine, apart from when the e-mail is being sent a new window opens for less than a second sometimes (new task) which flashes which is quite annoying. Anyone have any ideas to hide that window flash when sending an e-mail?

View 1 RepliesI want to create a game using visual basic 2010. I'm a specialist in VBA and Excel but not VB 2010.I want to display and hide a whole group of objects. In Acces I used for such cases the TabControl. For example in Tab1 the Game, in Tab2 the highscore and in Tab3 the options. Then I made it transparent, so that the Tabs (Buttons) are not visible, only the objects in Tab1 Tab2 and Tab3. With VBA I select the Tabs controlled by my own buttons (jpg). I tried the same in VB 2010. Without success.What can I do to switch between game, highscore and options without using popups. I want to display them at the same positions. So game objects and option objects should hide and highscore objects should be shown. And the other way round. Like the handling is with different layers in photoshop!
View 2 RepliesI'm writing a standalone application in VB.NET using Visual Studio 2005. I want to display/hide a bunch of Buttons based on the selected value of a ComboBox. Each selection would have a different set of Buttons to display, and I'd like to have them arranged in a nice grid.
Driving a TabControl with the ComboBox value would be the kind of behavior I want, but I don't want it to look like a TabControl to the user because it might be confusing.Is there a way to do this?
Basically, I'd like Selection1 of the ComboBox to show Buttons 1-4, Selection2 to show Buttons 5-11, Selection3 to show (maybe) Buttons 1, 3, 5, 6, and 8, etc., have them arranged nicely, and have the GUI show only the ComboBox and the buttons.
When I run project splashscreen is popup and then Logon window is run. But unfortunately when Logon window is run the splashscreen still open like maximized window and I cannot see Logon window. How to fix that problem?
