I am writing a pizza order program for class and have gotten everything put together, even got my array setup and displaying but when i go to calculate it will not calculate the values coming from the array in any of the calculations.

I found this thread in regards to calculating CRC16 on an array.... however, it does not work probably because it was written for VB6 and not .NET. [URL] Does anyone know of a built-in function in .NET to calculate CRC16? If not, is there a way I can adapt the above VB code example to work with Visual Studio 2010?

I have a 2d array and I want to do a calculation on each element in the array and then return the index which results in the smallest value.
I have tried iterating through each element in the 2d array and running the calculation. If the calculated result is smaller than the currently stored minimum I set that to the minimum.
This works but it runs so slowly it makes the solution a non starter. It performs each calculation quickly but because of the number of elements in the array the calculation for the whole array is stupidly long.
I am trying to work with taking in and parsing CSV files. Right now I have it taking in and producing something like this:
The program loads the csv and copies the data into an array as such:

etc. I guess my main problem is trying to perform calculations to all values in a specific column. To start I am just trying to figure out how to isolate the columns and found that by using MsgBox(strarray(x, num_cols)) it will msgbox everything in the second column twice. I just want to try and understand how I can perform a basic calculation like multiply every value in the first column by 2 and every value in the second column one by 3.

I want it to take each number from the player's number array individually and compare them to each row individually in the lotto results array i.e. the first six cells in each row in the results array will be compared with each user number to find any matches, if a value matches then a count is incremented. if the count is greater than 2 but i'm getting no where with it :( i've been trying to use the For To loops but keep getting index out of range, or else nothing is happening at all!

I need some code to calculate the CRC16 of array of bytes.
Example: 00 or 0x0.
The problem I run into is that the CRC I get with a calculator I use is: 78F0.
So 00 = 78F0.
Problem is I dont know what type of CRC16 they are using or anything else. But I would like to make the same calculator in Visual Basic.
Although I think for the Polynum they are using: 0x8408 and I believe the initial value is: 0xFFFF

I am trying to use parallel.for in order to calculate the summation of all the values in an multidimensional array. I googled and found Click Here. However, this is just for one dimensional arrays. The LINQ does not work for multidimensional array. And when I use parallel.for it gives me different answer than the sequential approach.

The problem is, why I cannot get the array(0) and array(1) values?
actually before I'm using If, I thought that it can store as many array as the data have but then, it only can store 2 array. So, I decided to use if statement since my config.ini will only have about 5 lines but then I cannot get the array(1) value.
