Is it possible to create a plot from List(Of Decimal) values in Excel with VB? I would like to avoid dumping data directly into a table, then creating the chart from that. Here is what I have so far, but I am getting a data type mismatch when I try to assign .XValues and .Values to the list. Is there some sort of conversion that needs to happen to turn a list into a series?

How do I effectively declare a Global Array which I can access the values of that array from any procedure? I have a Userform from which I will call various sub procedures depending on the actions performed on the useform. I have one procedure (Procedure1) where I have set up a multidimensional array and input values to it. I have another procedure (Prodedure2) where I want to access the values in the array - I DO NOT want to pass the array values directly from Procedure1 to Procedure2.

The part I am struggling with is creating 2 buttons.
The first button I want to be able to import data from an excel file into my data set
The second button I want to create is a back-up button, which exports all the data from my dataset into an excel file
I have to import a tab delimited file into Excel and export it back out to correct a formatting issue caused by FoxPro. I need to pad a column with 10, Zeros and that is good with this here: objxl.columns("B:B").numberformat="0000000000". However I have 2 cells in the sheet, row 1B and 2B that I want to exclude from the number format above. Because it is a date field and it writes to that same column so it pads my date. I do have a need to Pad that date field with mmddyyyy so I have to pad it 8 - zeros.

I want it to take each number from the player's number array individually and compare them to each row individually in the lotto results array i.e. the first six cells in each row in the results array will be compared with each user number to find any matches, if a value matches then a count is incremented. if the count is greater than 2 but i'm getting no where with it :( i've been trying to use the For To loops but keep getting index out of range, or else nothing is happening at all!
I currently have a DataGridView that grabs SQL data and exports it to a csv file. The problem I'm encountering is when my data already contains commas.
In the datagrid and csv file some of the values already contain commas such as:
0456,4546,05566873035,65465687
I'm trying to make the csv look like: "0456,4546","05566873035","65465687"
so that my users can open it in Excel properly and if a comma was put in, it doesn't shift data over to a new column. The current code will separate data based on commas, rather than based on the column. Is there a way to encapsulate my columns with double quotes using the code below?

I have a Excel sheet which containes time. 2 cells are being compared in a formula. Sometimes a value is missing in one of the cells, this will cause a negative date. Negative dates in Excel is shown as ####. how i can set this value to zero? Ex: Value A is compared with value B. If value b is missing, theres a negative time.
