Md5 - Converting JScript To .NET?
Jul 12, 2010I'm trying to convert some functions written in JScript to VB.NET (I'm porting a classic ASP page to ASP.NET) and having issues as I'm not very familiar with JScript. I'm having issues with converting even the function declaration properly in VB.NET. In my converted code VS2008 is giving me an error saying "Array bounds can not be specified in type identifiers". I don't know how to modify my function declaration to return an Array but ALSO accept an array as input as the JScript declaration does.
Here is one of the original JScript functions:

Textchanged Event Is Not Firing When Using Jscript?
Sep 14, 2009In my asp.net application, i am using a lookup to enter data to a textbox.For making lookup i have used jscript.I have a button for this lookup from which i am entering data to this textbox.so, i am not entering values directly to the textbox.After entering values to textbox, the textchanged event is not working.What could be the reason?

Sep 12, 2009I am trying to use jquery or jscript to click a hidden button and I always get"Microsoft JScript runtime error: Object expected" error.I have tried all of the following (all with the same results):

The textbox (trigger) for the calendar is contained within a control, which is contained within an update panel.I found an article assisting with this issue, and it informed me to do the following

Am I approaching this in the correct manner? Any other suggestions to ensure my datepicker remains usable within the update panel?Thinking this may be due to the fact that I have the controls nested within an update panel... several of them in fact.
Asp.net - Microsoft JScript Runtime Error: 'document.getElementById(...)' Is Null Or Not An Object
Aug 17, 2011I am getting this error when I call a javascript function to display a modal window:
Microsoft JScript runtime error: 'document.getElementById(...)' is null or not an object
The code block is:

document.getElementById("OfficeContent").src="ChangeView.aspx";
ShowFeatureModal('AppView','OfficeContent')
The object is this situation, does exist. Error is caused at: document.getElementById line.What else could be causing the error?
Update:Index.aspx is calling the javascript function which is located in sysUtilities.js file. The source file is yet a seperate page (ChangeView.aspx)

Is there any Windows API Routine to read something like that?Or could you point me an URL where something is implemented?I don't want a procedure to read the file line by line and comparing them with Line Input because blank spaces, empty lines and comments starting with " // " may appear too, and I don't want to take them into account, but also I need to save changes to the file, but only to the modified section, without having to read the whole file, and re-write it completely.
Binary access can't work, because I don't know what's the size of each "section", since the number of elements into it can change.
I need something like the "ReadINI" Windows API Procedure, but allowing me to read the "[XXX]" sections headers, and also the "<XXX>" file title header.

May 7, 2009I have a program I wrote that copies select files from one remote computer to another.
The set up I for testing is, one computer(a) at home running the program connected to my work's network via VPN and two computers(b,c) at work side by side on the same network. I am trying to copy the files on computer b to computer c, while the program is running on computer a.
The only thing wrong with this is, the files seem to be caching to a temp folder on computer a then going to computer c. When it should be going straight from computer b to computer c. Is there a way to keep the files from trying to cache on the computer running the app?

Okay Now I only get two errors (I dont know how to solve them)
Error3Class 'BaseApp' must implement 'Sub OnCompilerError(errors() As CompilerError)' for interface 'IScriptManagerCallback'.
And
Error4Class 'ScriptManager' must implement 'Sub CompileAndExecuteFile(file As String, args() As String, callback As IScriptManagerCallback)' for interface 'IScriptManager'.
But What I would also Like to know (as well as how to fix the errors), is would the code work?

The picture box displays the correct image but the saved image shows in Windows Explorer and Paint as all black.
