In PHP I can use the following to stop HTML from rendering, so it actually displays html as text on the web page:

How do I do the same with asp.net pages (vb.net). I am using .NET 3.5.
This may sound really stupid but I have to ask cause I'm not finding this answer anywhere.I have an application where the user will need to sign up for a new user account on the website [URL]..However when I am using Firefox's plug-in Firebug to view html I am getting something totally different than when I just right click on the site and view the page source.
What I am trying to do is to get the captcha from the website and display it in a picturebox on the application so the user can view the captcha, solve the captcha and then the app post is back to the service for a response.
Here is the source that I am getting using Firefox's Firebug to inspect the element:

Why would the two be showing me two different versions of the HTML?
And how would you be able to grab that source to view in a picturebox using webclient?
I am trying save a value from an input tag in some HTML source code. The tag looks like so:
<input name="user_status" value="3" />
I have the page source in a variable (pageSourceCode), and need to work out some regex to get the value (3 in this example). I have this so far: [Code] Which works fine most of the time, however this code is used to process source code from multiple sites (that use the same platform), and sometimes there are other attributes included in the input tag, or they are in a different order, eg:
<input class="someclass" type="hidden" value="3" name="user_status" />
I just dont understand regex enough to cope with these situations.
Can anyone possibly take a look at my code (below) and tell me what I'm doing wrong? I have been sitting here for hours trying to figure it out. I'm very new at this and I'm thoroughly confused. I am using a book for Visual Studio "Programming in Visual Basic" and I have gone through all of the tutorials and code examples and followed them exactly (at least as far as I can tell). However, whenever I run the program, I am not getting the sum of the quantities I assigned to the constants showing up in"AccessoriesTxtBx" as I'm trying to. View 4 RepliesI'm encountering some rather strange behavior in the VB2008 IDE regarding exceptions. I tried to explain what I need as best I can in the title, but I'm not sure there's a succinct way to describe it.I'm not the best programmer in the world to say the least, so sometimes I do things that generate exceptions when I try to run them (This is why we test things continually, right?). Typically, in addition to the Exception Assistant popping up and giving a suggestion, the IDE highlights the code that caused the Exception in the Code Window.
Well, today I went back to a project I had been working on after putting it on hold for awhile, and while the Exception Assistant still pops up when there's an exception, the IDE doesn't auto-scroll and highlight the offending code anymore. I have no idea why it does this, nor do I know how to fix it. Resetting settings from the Import and Export Settings Wizard didn't fix the problem, and neither did trying to reinstall VB2008. Is there some setting, obvious or otherwise, that would cause this?
I've written some code to get an image file from a OpenFileDialog, and then offset the X position of the image by -50, and then display that offset image in a panel. But for some reason, it is displaying the image twice inside that panel. Could someone please tell me how to get it to only display the offset image in the panel? I'm sure it's something simple, but I'm wracking my brain with this one.

AIQ is a VB.Net app deployed via ClickOnce. It is an intranet app; one can be sure MS Office 2003 and the interop 11 dlls are on the target machines.
Restrictions: MAPI is out. It mangles the HTML. Since it is a ClickOnce deployment, we can't register dlls (I think, correct me if I am wrong). Therefore CDO and COM is out (again, I may be wrong.... I would be happy to be proven so).
I have a big problem with a software I'm creating for my own use.I have code in my software that downloads the source code of a webpage into a .txt file and filters out information it's looking for. For normal HTML code this works fine.The problem is when I can't target specific parameters in the HTML code because they're too vague.I can download this kind of unique HTML code and pass the variable (Brown in this case) to Strings in my software because it's on the same line of code making it unique:
