Code For Displaying A String Array Of (9x13) Values In A Datagridview Control?

Nov 22, 2011

provide a simple example code for displaying a string array of (9x13) values in a datagridview control. I am lost in the complexity of data binding and datagridview controls. I am an experienced VB6 programmer and cannot seem to grasp the transition from flexgrid control to datagridview control.

Datagridview Bound To Bindingsource: Displaying Both Old Values And The New Values

Mar 23, 2011

I bound datagridview to bindingsource. The bindingsource has its datasource a collection Called Rates which is a collection of Rate items. The rate object has a property called VALUE. I need the user to be able to edit different values for the collection; However, on the datagridview, i need to keep displaying on one column called OldValue the existing Rate value before the change while allowing the user to edit that value in a second column called NewValue.

In other terms, One colum OldValue will keep the existing values from the DB before being edited by the user, this column OldValue is readonly. Another column NewValue will display, the 1st time, the old value from the DB (similar to OldValue when we do the Fetch from the DB), but it`s editable column, so the user can modify each value in the column NewValue without overriding OldValue cells. For now, I bound both columns OldValue and NewValue to the same property VALUE of the Rate object,

Displaying Hex Byte Array Values In A Specified Format?

Sep 17, 2010

I need to convert hex values aa 01 00 17 f4 2f (as contained in byte array FrameData) to display in a label control as AA:01:00:17:F4:2F

HexDump(FrameData(2)) converts the aa (which has been converted to Decimal 170) into 31 37 30 !

similarly I need to convert hex data ('02 00' contained in byte array FrameData) as
0x0200."0x" & FrameData(1) + FrameData(2) displays the data as 0x20. How would I convert the '02 00' hex data to display as 0x0200?

How To Assign Datagridview's Values To A Two Dimensions Array

Mar 7, 2009

After user entered a value into textbox (for example 4), datargidview must be create automatically(number of datargidview's columns and rows must be textbox value). And, user enter some values that among 0 and 1 into datagridview's cells. So i want to assing these values (values that are written in datgridview cells). For example, if user enter 0.25 in datagridview's cell 1, and 0.34 cell 2, 0.67 cell 3, and etc, in this instance array(1,1)=0.25, array(1,2)=0.34, array(1,3)=0.67 must be assigned. i hope, i could understand :) i illustrate this example below. i want to assign such as indexs that is written into following example table.

VS 2008 Format Values In A Datagridview Control?

Apr 3, 2011

I'm using vb.net 2008 and I want to be able to format the way numeric values are displayed in the datagridview control.

My datagridview control is being populated from data stored in sql server 2008, what I am after is for a value to always show 2 decimal places, even if the number is a whole number. e.g. '1500' to display as '1500.00'.

I have already tried using the following commands in my sql statements:

CONVERT(MONEY, Value) AS Value
CONVERT(DECIMAL, Value) AS Value

But this doesn't seem to display correctly in the datagridview. for 1500 I get 1500.0000 and 1500

Control Array Of Datagridview Objects?

Oct 13, 2011

Migrating from VB6, a control array of flexgrid objects. Obviously flexgrid is not supported by VB.NET, so DataGridView objects have to be used instead. I tried this alternative to placing them in a list.

I have two DataGridView objects which share a lot of code as well as event handlers. They are named D1 and D2 and many properties, such as column headeders etc., are set at define time. The control array is simulated by passing the "index" and selected grid as parameters in subroutines. For example, the routine to fill the grids, is as follows.

Pass String Array To Unmanaged Code In A Dll?

First of all; I'm completely new to VB.

Pass a string array from Visual Basic Express 2008 to unmanaged code in a Dll.The array is Dimmed as in DIM myArray(11) as String

I'm developing the dll myself using Powerbasic.

The dll expect a 4 bytes pointer to a safearray's handle. As far as I have understood it; the array's string elements must be passed in ANSI format. The code in the dll will then use OLE Api to get the LBound and Ubound of the array and the address of the first element in array.
