.net - Multiple INNER JOINs SQL Server Compact Edition?

I am trying to do multiple joins within a single query in SQL Server CE. I know that SQL Server CE doesn't support multiple SELECTs but I can't find any information on multiple INNER JOINs. I keep getting token errors on ProjectItemMaster (after the FROM) and the first INNER JOIN. Warning this is a big ugly query used to generate reports.

If I can't uses multiple INNER JOINs I can I break the query down into a number of different queries but I would prefer not to. So it is easier to maintain a SQL Server CE and an SQL Server version of the program.

I have an application that is currently using DAO and would like to move it to ADO.Net. The problem I'm having is that when I do, I cannot do any queries that take variables if the database is Access or SQL Server Compact Edition. For example: SELECT RecipeName FROM tblMasterRecipe WHERE CategoryID = iCategoryID..The database is a local standalone database. Of course if I use the Standard SQL Server I can add parameters just fine using the TableAdapter Query Configuration Wizard. How do I do something similar for Access or SQL Server Compact Edition? The Create new stored procedure radio button is greayed out when the database is Access or SQL Server Compact Edition.

Ive created one database Sql Server Compact Edition 2005, with one table ("Cliente") I know that I can created my database good, but i have a problem saving information since three textbox, in my table(With columns "Nombre" "Apellido" "Cliente". In my form there is a button save ("Guardar"). When I do click in my button appear the next message : "The column cannot contain null values. [ Column name = Nombre,Table name = Cliente ] " and happen the same with apellido and Id_Cliente. And this happen becouse my code cant save the information....

I am building a VB 2008 Express Edition application.I have built a database (with a single table) using SQL Server Compact 3.5 and have connected it to the project. I am able to view and edit the data using a DataGridView on a second form (tutorial made this very easy). I need to work with the data in the table within the application. how to easily load the entire table into an array or even read the table a row or cell at a time so that I can make all of the data available for manipulation within the application (the tutorials only seem to show how to display the data).

Im looking for some advice on the deployment of an application using SQL Compact Edition.My application will only be used by two people on two separate desktops with file sharing enabled.My goal is to deploy the application and have the .sdf file located on one of the desktops in a shared folder. We use an ERP program in conjuction with SQL server and lots of tables that keep track of product records customers and all these kinds of stuff. I am building a fairly simple Warehouse Inventory Application that warehouse employees will use to count and inventory stock on hand from products around the warehouse and then check if any quantity errors occur between stock on hand and logistic quantities.I have created a custom Inventory table that I would populate with records like {stock_code, Description, Quantity_remain, quantity_avail}. Those records already exist in 2 different tables in my database. The aim is that I want my program to fetch daily 10 random codes from the stck table, and records about their quantities,bringing together the "columns" that my new custom table has +2 more editable columns: inventory, date, user with a query like this:[code]
As you can imagine my custom table contains the exact same fields as the query suggests + 3 more.I use the the stck table to fetch product info like its code,description, its group_code, categ_code, and then I outer join the stck_x_th that contains records concerning quantities remaining or available asociated with each product code and the "places" those quantities reside in the warehouse.Then, store them in a datagridview control, with only one editable column -inventory- (user and date columns are auto-populated with default values), and then when the user fills out the inventory quantites, I want to save the datagrid "as it is" in my new custom table.I am creating a databound gridview control using one table adapter (which refers to the inventory table). Then I add to my table adapter using "add query" the forementioned query with a fillby method to populate the Datagrid (and therefore my Table in SQL) with the exact same values my query returned from the different tables. But whenever I try to update the table concurrency exceptions raise.It works like a charm if I enter the values in the grid cells manually, without populating the grid control with the new fillby method my self but not if I populate the grid via a query and then hit update.

I've developed a software using VB.Net and SQL compact edition database. (.sdf file) Now i want to add my .sdf file to setup file. I've search internet and create setup file. when i install the software, it is created new folders in program files including my database file and exe file. after double clicking exe file, it is open the software. but when using, it's shown a message "connection current state is closed". but when i run my vb project, it is working well.
Other details.
1) I create data base inside of /bin/debug
2) I've created setup file using this method. File menu --> add --> new project Then, Setup and deployment -> Visual studio installer After that I selected Setup project, then click OK.
3) I add database using this Right click on setup file -> add -> file (In solution explorer window) Then i selected my .sdf file.

I have an internet available SQL Server 2008 R2 instance that is running normally. Clients connect over the internet from vs 2005 and 2010 desktop applications, without issue. My scan gun application can connect to the local instance (if I'm in my office) but not to the internet instance from my Windows Mobile 5.0 scanning device. Connect string = user id=[Code]. This connection string works fine for the desktop apps. It's not a port issue, I have all the correct ports open.

i am wondering if anyone can direct me to a beginners tutorial on creating crystal reports that are specifically based off the sql server compact 3.5 database in visual studio 2008? most of the examples i can find are all related to Sql Server Full..or Access..ect. i have never dealt with crystal reports,, and would like to see if i can use this for some databases that have been created using the sql server compact that is shipped with the 2008 visual studio pro.

So I created a table and one of the columns is is called currencydate, and has a datetime data type. Within my vb scripts, i've taken a filename and extracted the date components from it. an example filename is WER22402.10. The part in bold is the date meaning 24th February 2010.
I use the following function to extract the date values and convert it to a date type.

I am trying to build a stand alone programe in VB.net (Most of my Experience is in VBA) I am using Visual Studio 2008 and have created as part of my project an SQL Server Compact database (Database1.sdf)

I'm trying to create a Server/Client Sync scenario for my application using Sync Services for ADO.NET specifically the LocalCache custom tool which sets the whole thing up for me.My server DB has 5 Tables, all of which are being synchronized to the client application, which now has a SQL Server Compact DB with the same schema as the server DB. I have a dataset with some custom queries that I use to connect my app with the local database.So far so good.However in my application when I try to fill one of my tables with the table adapter on my form (the default "fill" method) it gives me the following exception:No mapping exists from DbType Object to a known SqlDbType.
However, if I continue and do the fill again, IT WORKS without a problem.

Greetings, I'm a little bit confused about SQL Server Compact behavior.I have a small app that uses a small sdf file located on a network share.The problem is that while the app itself is working perfectly well using the connection string that points the location of the sdf file on a network drive, when I try to open the same sdf using the Server Explorer I get this error:
SQL Server Compact does not support opening database files on a network share.Obviously, if the app IS working it does indeed support network shares, then why Server Explorer cannot open it?
I copied the database file to a local drive but it's not very convenient. What might be the problem?
