I have a datagridview with a checkbox column at the beginning, what i want to happen is that when I press the Ok button it will update the Requested row in my EquipmentDetail table with the corresponding checked chekcboxes.
The problem is that when I check even only one checkbox All of the rows are updated into true even if its not checked in the datagridview

I've tried countless other methods... none seem to actually get the checkbox ON/OFF value in vb.net.
I'm new to databases under vb.net although I've used them extensivley under VB6.I have a main form with a DataGridView on it. Thats connected to the following bits- _TWC_Viewer_SubmissionsDataSet, ViewerDataBindingSource, ViewerDataTableAdapterm and TableAdapterManager. All this was etup by the VB wizard. The database table is named ViewerData.This all does it job very nicely.
Secondly, I have another form which is setup so that when you click on a main form record line it opens up the second form for in depth record editing.The second form is a bunch of text boxes ect to represent each field.This form has its own set of database bits- _TWC_Viewer_SubmissionsDataSet,ViewerDataBindingSource, ViewerDataTableAdapter, TableAdapterManager and ViewerDataBindingNavigator.This form also works fine and does what it should.The problem is with a 3rd area. Its all in code and creates its own temporary dataset. After its done its job, its saves its results back into the database which also works ok.However, the changes in teh database are not being reflected back to the controls on either form. If I kill the app and restart it then the updates are in the database so its just a form updating problem.

View 1 RepliesI have a webpage that is used to modify information in a database. The information is properly pulled from the database and properly displayed in their appropriate text boxes. The problem arises when i change the information and try to resubmit it to be saved. Unfortunately it never takes my edited information and reverts back to the original value that was loaded when the page was loaded.
All of the code has been tested out side of the masterpage and it is working properly so i am under the impression that it has something to do with the use of the masterpage. If my understanding is correct i cannot just do something like me.txtName.text to address an object in the content pages. The code shows the two methods that i have used to try and use findcontrol to access the text boxes. Both methods seem to locate the textboxes but once I pass the values to linksUpd it reverts back to the value that was originally loaded into the page and discards all of my changes.

I have a field in my table called RentPaid, its set to bit data type. On my form I have a button called Pay Rent, when the user clicks that button I want my checkbox set to true.
I've tried both of these:

Me.chkRentPaid.Checked = True
Neither seem to be written to my SQLExpress database, however EVERY other field on my form does. The field shows up in my datasource for that form, I just dragged it over to my form with the rest of my fields.

I have a tbl called tblProjectpatients which also has 2 fields Yes and No (these have the data type - Bit). These two fields have been populated with false and true values. On my form, I have a datagridview which is populated with various values from tblProjectpatients. The problem am facing is that the checkbox's for Yes and No on the datagridview are empty at runtime eventhough at the backend they have either False or True values. View 4 RepliesI've created a Datagridview bound to a Datatable. This Datatable is updated by a event to reflect statistical information as it changes (sub second resolution). I have a checkbox to determine if a row is available for other functions and can be toggled on and off normally if my eventhandler is not receiving my updates.
If my bound Datatable is changed, the checkbox returns to its previous state as soon as the cursor or focus leaves the checkbox glyph (not the cell).
How do I toggle the checkboxes without them reseting without disconnecting my eventhandler?

Everything works fine, the data is displayed correctly. Here's the problem The SELECT statement of query has a BOOLEAN column which is shown as a check box on the grid (this is exactly what I wanted to be shown), when user clicks one of the check boxes all the records are updated. For example, if 30 rows are displayed and user changes stuats column from FALSE to TRUE for only 2 records all records in the table are set to TRUE.I have set the UPDATE command for this query's table adapter using the DataSet designer as "UPDATE <table> SET Status=?"
