Add Space And Other Character In My Encryption Code
Mar 23, 2012
I have another project that I have to submit it in a few days my project is about bifid cipher..I already make a code work but the thinks that I frustrated is to add like a space,enter,comma,or other symbol inside my code [code]at my code all the space will be disappear and if a enter in plaintext it will combine..already try to use index to find a space but it only works for the first space..
How do I add a space between every character in a string of text?For example:Change abcdefg" To "a b c d e f g"I have two text boxes on my form, one for input, the other for output of the re-formatted string.
I need to delete the first character on EACH line, IF it is a space. JUST the first character, since I have other spaces in other parts on that line. The stuff will be in a textbox. This is probably really simple. But, me being a noob, only found how to delete the first letter of a string, not a text file, while searching google.
I recently made a simple pseudo-encryption program that changes each character into another. It is capable of encrypting and decrypting a string. This can also be done to any text file as well. The characters range from ASCII 32-254 (This on it's own may be an issue because of #127 being DEL).
Because I believed my own coding may be at fault, I attempted this with Triple Des with identical results.For Triple Des, the requirements for en/decryption was:
Encrypt: String to Byte Decrypt: Byte to String
And to change them either direction, I used UTF8. I also attempted ASCII and UTF32, but I don't know what I should do. I am considering dropping this but I want to learn problems like this because I am currently in college and haven't started my core classes for programming yet and want the head start.
The point where I have come into a problem is attempting to do this to another file type like an image. I looked at the results from encrypting then decrypting and the results were similar, but it seems file encoding must be the culprit.
I've always use String.IsNullOrEmpty to check for a empty string. It recently come to my attention that a " " count as not a empty string. For example,
Dim test As String = " " If String.IsNullOrEmpty(test) Then MessageBox.Show("Empty String")
[Code]....
It will show "Not Empty String". So how do we check for " " or " " in a string?
I'm trying to build a list that will be used as the in clause of a select statement. The requirement is to have the user enter a comma separated list of descriptions. Each description can contain spaces so I can't remove the spaces before splitting by comma to add the single quotes around each description. I want to remove all white space after a single quote since no description will start with a space. What's the best way to do this in VB.NET? Regular expression or a string function? Here's what I have so far.
I want code for RichTextBox when I write text it make space automatically before and after some character like Spacial symbol example , I write in RichTextBox this statement :
array()={1,2,3,4}
when I press ENTER this statement change to :
array ( ) = { 1,2,3,4 }
make space between spacial symbol and other character automatically
I'm able to convert a character to its corresponding Character/ASCII code using "Asc(CHAR)". I can't find anything on converting this returned Integer back to its original Char form.
How would i get a certain text inside a textbox to equal that text space to space or null to space?
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click If Textbox1.Text.StartsWith(Textbox2.Text + " ") And Not String.IsNullOrEmpty(Textbox2.Text) Then Textbox1.Text = Textbox1.Text.Remove(0, Textbox2.TextLength) Textbox3.AppendText("a") End If
Btw: after i finish this step my project will be finished!
I use the following Rijndael code to do encryption without fail for many times. But why it can not encrypt an ISO file with 4.2 GB? In fact my computer has 16GB memory and it should not be a memory problem. I use Windows 7 Ultimate. The code is compiled as winform (.Net 4) using Visual Studio 2010 (a VB.NET project).
I have checked that the ISO file is OK and can be mounted as virtual drive and even can be burnt to DVD rom. So it is not the ISO file problem.My question: Why the following code cannot encrypt an ISO file with size of 4.2GB? Is that caused by the limitation of Windows/.NET 4 implementation?
I am using 2010 express, and when I try to use it to open a program that I had made with 2008, it will open and it will allow me to debug the program, but neither the designer nor the code will show. It is just an empty space in the middle of the screen.
When I typed Private Sub cmdAbc_(Click) and pressed Enter key the first 12 characters erase leaving cmdAcc_(Click) and the cursor on the next line. Then pressing the up arrow or space bar restores the erased characters. This problem makes coding a program impossible. Programs I created before the problem arose do run successfly, but the code for those programs displays with missing characters.
I have two textboxes (InputTextBox, OutputTextbox).In the InputTextBox, if I type "a" I need to display tamil letter "அ" in OutputTextBox.For the above requirements, I tried like below,
I have set up a method in vb.net and in xcode for encrypting a string using as far as i can tell the same parameters for an AES encryption.I've looked all over the place but cannot find information on whether they use the same encryption algorithm and settings.
this is the vb.net code:
Dim encryptAES As New AesCryptoServiceProvider() Dim encoding As New UTF8Encoding() Dim encryptor As ICryptoTransform encryptAES.Key = encoding.GetBytes("12345678901234567890123456789032") encryptAES.IV = encoding.GetBytes("1234567890123416") encryptAES.Mode = CipherMode.CBC
I'm trying to split a Yahoo historical stock price csv file, downloaded into a string, by what looks like a space character. I want a new row for each split. The split function works for other characters I see in the string. I suspect the characters may be a non breaking space character but I've been unable to split on them. This is the test csv file that is downloaded into the string: [URL] I'm trying to split the string like this:
I have been making a VB app that adds two text boxes together. This all adds up fine but I was wondering if there was any code to be able to turn the answer into a value such as 10.54 instead of 10.54653
I have been making a VB app that adds two text boxes together. This all adds up fine but I was wondering if there was any code to be able to turn the answer into a value such as 10.54 instead of 10.54653Basically turning the answer into a money value?
I am trying to write a VB function to strip unwanted characters from a string. It is for generating a 'clean' url from data that has been inputted into a CMS. Someone has copied and pasted from a Word document and so there appears to be an mdash or ndash in the product title. This results in ─ appearing instead of -
I have tried a Replace(text, Chr(196), Chr(45)) but it isn't working so it can't be 196. Is there a tool or something where I can copy this character and paste it into the tool and it will tell me what char code it is?
I have a program that allows a user to type java code into a rich text box and then compile it using the java compiler. Whenever I try to compile the code that I have written I get an error that says that I have an illegal character at the beginning of my code that is not there. This is the error the compiler is giving me:
C:UsersTravis Michael>"Program FilesJavajdk1.6.0_17injavac" Test.java Test.java:1: illegal character: 187 public class Test
I know that this is not the best way of doing this, so I am looking for suggestions for cleaning this up. Currently, it only allows the user to enter Alpha characters, spaces, and press the enter and backspace key in a textbox.
'allow alpha characters, spacebar and backspace key only If (e.KeyChar < "A" OrElse e.KeyChar > "z") _ AndAlso e.KeyChar <> ControlChars.Back AndAlso Asc(e.KeyChar) <> Keys.Enter AndAlso
I was trying to Validate characters (the extended ones) and i see that in various PC's they have in deferent places the extended characters. I meane we are not see the same ASCII code number for a certain character (not in Latins). Now My issue is what i have to do when my program starts to use always a certain ASCII code table? For extended character of course.
I have a TrueType font in my PC. And there are some unicode characters in it which I want to insert it into my RichtTextBox. The CharMap in WindowsXP shows the unicode character as U+00CC and to the right, it also displays the KeyStroke as Alt+0204So, how do I insert this unicode character in RichTextBox ? Also, if I'm going to distribute this small program along with this particular font, will this end system can easily display the unicode characters ? Or do I have to set any regional settings in that PC to
Way to space out the source code of a web page, having each tag on one line, without having to search for each tag ending and then making a new line after.
