I have 4 checkboxes available, what I want is the user to be able to select as many of the four checkboxes. Each of the four checkboxes have a value, but when i set the code it only selects the first checkbox and only adds the first checkbox i select to the totals, rather then all selected checkboxes. The values have been set in the module and all the values appear correctly, they are just not adding all together when i select more than one checkboxHere is what I have in the calculate button.
Dim PriceDecimal, DiscountDecimal As Decimal
'Find Price of Service
If MakeoverCheck
I used this code to created 2 combo boxes General and Specific...and Only show Specific (Combo when Combo A is chosen.....What i need now is to know how to assign specific values to the items in combo b (Specific).??? Form1 has 2 public string variables defined and initialized to "" (an empty string).Form2 has 2 text boxes and a button. When the button is clicked the public variables on Form1 get set to the values in the text boxes. This works fine.I recently had to add a module to my project so that I could use Main as the startup item. Ever since doing that the above no longer works. The variables never get set to the values in the text boxes. They just stay empty. My Main code is simply this for now:
I am a beginner programer. I am working on a windows form in vb.net Visual Studio 2010I have several text boxes, dropdowns, radio buttons and check boxes in my windows forma.
I have 3 check boxes on a form and am trying to code them to change the font in combinations of Large Font,Bold Font, and underline font.I coded the bold font check box and large font check box but cannot get the Bold and large font to work at the same time.
I have a sql query with that adds numerical values from different table to find total for a shipment. When I execute this query, it works fine for the first record but rest of the records show null value when I know there are records present. SQL pros take a look if there is a problem with my syntax.
I've never really used the Check List Box in the past, however, for the recent program I am developing, I am using this control rather than individual check boxes scattered across the form.Anyway, I want to be able to program through code which items get checked in this checked list box. Specifically, I have a variable that contains the text of each check box that I want checked. With a normal check box, I can simply say:
Dim strNames As String strNames = "John Doe, Mark Johnson, Mike Brown, Cindy Smith" If strNames.ToString.Contains("Mike Brown") Then[code]....
I am developing a program that makes it easier for users to log on to a website and search for specific data. I have the first portion finished in which I have a form with the Ax Web Browser control.
The web browser control navigates to a local website and automatically logs in for the end user. This is done by using code which automatically fills in the username and password and then submits the form to logon using something similar to this: WebBrowser1.Document.Forms.Item(, 0).elements("txtUsername").value = "user"
Once logged on - there is a search page which contains a combo box and list box. I am trying to set specific values for the combo box and list boxes. For example - the combo box on the website is titled: cbxDate and contains the following values: Today, Yesterday, This Week, This Month.
A list box titled: lstArea contains the following values: Zone A, Zone B, Zone C, All.I am trying to figure out if there is a way through code to select, in this example, "Yesterday" in the cbxDate and "Zone B" in the lstArea on the webpage. If anyone knows of a solution, please feel free to let me know. Be advised that I am using the Ax Web Browser Control.
I use check boxes and place them on my user interface (See attachment)I have coded the code for "select all" button :
Code: Private Sub checkedall_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As_ System.EventArgs) Handles checkedall.Click Dim chkboxes, outs As New Collection()
[code]....
I could not seems to check all the boxes. Is there something wrong with it? I am not sure how to assign array to check boxes.
I am attempting to fill a form with multiple rows from an access table based off of a parameterized query. My query works fine but I don't want to return one row at a time, I want to return all rows that match my query in multiple text boxes. I know that I can use a datagrid view to accomplish this, but I would prefer the look of a textboxes on a form. I have read through many books and searched the internet forums but think I may just not know what to search for as nothing has worked yet. Can anyone point me in the right direction. So far I have tried setting the text box value to the row().item(), creating a different dataset for each row, and even setting variables for the results of the query to then be passed to the text boxes. Since none of this work, I don't really have any starting code to post. If I could just get a starting point I could work from there, so don't feel the need to code anything for me, just set me in the right direction.
Okay this is the simple thing I'm trying to accomplish. I can get richtextbox1 to add to listbox 1. but i cant get both to add. the compare works fine. I'm stumped.
I am trying to create a simple Word doc that when the user presses the button it takes the information in the boxes and tosses it into a template style paragraph. But my issue is that I have two combo list boxes as seen in the picture. I want to have two values in the drop down list as seen in the labels next to them but for the life of me I can't figure out how to do this in Word 2007. In Visual Studio this is much easier but I am work and need to snap this out for the folks at work. Is there an option that I can choose in the properties where I type in the values for each drop down or do I have to add them in at run time?
When I click on button1, employee_id and P values need to be transferred from button1_click to Cal_Category13() and go through all the calculation. After the calculation, udtnew.X and udtnew.MTD values need to be transferred back to button1_Click
I've no problem to return multiple values Cal_Category13().MTD and Cal_Category13().X from Cal_Category13() to button1_Click but i've no idea how to transfer employee_id and p values from button1_click to Cal_Category13().
Program Code Public Structure PCB Public Employee_ID As String Public MTD As Decimal
i have retrived this datatable from datasource and i want to add a more colum 'category'basedon the each value of each Role, like if role column has the value '90 daya client' then in the same row it should have a value 'DC' in the category column.n make a temporatry dt1 table but to add related values.
S.No First Name Last Name Role Date 1 Us er1Name User1Name 90 Day Client 11/01/2011 2 User1NameAtt1 User1NameAtt1 90 Day Client 11/01/2011
This is my problem.I have a field set up in MS Access to Boolean YES/NO, this field is populated when the user check a checkbox on a windows form. If the user check a checkbox, the value is written as checked in the data field (MS Access). The problem is when I search for the user information, I need the information from the Data base to populate(return) to the windows form. Example: If I enter a users phone number and the user data is present, the form gets populated with the information the user previously entered which was store in the database.Example: If the user selected checkbox1 and submits the form. When I search for the user info, the check box should check(populate) because the user had checked it on submit. Here is what I have done:
[code]...
I am getting the check value correctly in the database using a Boolean. Here is one of the errors I am getting. Unable to cast object of type
'System.Boolean' to type 'System.Windows.Forms.CheckBox.I am having trouble putting the codes in a code tag or block
am having a big problem trying to make a program that will add multiple text boxes together. What I need to do is add all the text boxes together. If it is less then three leave it alone, if it is more then three then put a 10% discount on it. There are also other charges but the main thing I'm struggling with is adding the text boxes.
Here is some of my code: Private Sub TotalButton_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles TotalButton.Click
I have a Boolean that writes to a data field. The data field(column) is set to YES/NO, if the user check a checkbox, the value is written as check in the data field. The problem is when I search for the user information, I need to get to form to the state it was in when the user submitted it.
Example: If the use select checkbox1 and submits the form. When I search the form, I need to make that particular check box check.
I have a vb.net web application and when a particular function runs , i get data timeouts in the rest of the application..(ie..row not found errors or column does not belong to table but it does) The function is adding multiple rows in multiple tables in the database and is running in a for loop. It seems to be all SQL related but I am not seeing anything in the error logs in SQL or in the application Right now I am assuming it is memory related where to start note..the for loop will be replaced with a bulk insert but right now I jest need to resolve the issue of the timeouts
I'm using the free version on Visual Basic 2008 (through school). The assignment is to populate a list box from user input text. The textbook only talks about populating a list of known items.ex animalListBox.Items.Add("dog") Which works just fine, however, we don't know what the user will input.
If I'm trying to output to a listbox, what is the easiest way I can enter a string and then a variable on the same line? I'm trying to use listbox1.Items.Add(...). Obviously outputting a string is no problem and outputting a variable is no problem, but I want to add a string and then a variable after the string. For instance:
name = "Joe Smith" listbox1.Items.Add("Name: ", name) [or something like this] [Output] Name: Joe Smith
I have to make a lot of retangular boxes to make my program neat but i'm having a problem of adding boxes. I tried using the draw event in the tab page but everytime i scroll it will draw the lines again and messes up everything. Also when making a line greater that the tab page, autoscroll won't work.Is there a way to make lines or boxes in design time?
Most of my check boxes look like these (on the left of the picture) (ignore the checked check box in the upper left corner , I am not talking about tat one) :However , ONLY on tab 2 the check boxes look differently in both cases the check boxes are Disabled , but they don't look the same . Why is that ? I even tried copying the check boxes from tab 3 to tab 2 but to my surprise they once again looked differently ! This only happens on tab 2 . How is this possible ?
I've got a screen with 4 group box and several text box inside them. Each group box is controlled by a check box, so if the check box is true, the group box is enabled. Otherwise, the group box will be disabled. So far, I've been using a 'Refresh' button to evaluate the check boxes values. Now I'd like to give up using that button, so if when I change the check box state, so will do the group box. How could I do that?
(Visual Studio Visual Basic) many times, and I populate the ListView columns with data using SQL statements that pull data from a database. I'm now trying to use a ListView with the addition of check boxes.
I have a Form with a Group Box with a number of check boxes within it, each check box has a text box next to it for the user to enter a number. I wondered if it was possible to loop through the check boxes within the Group Box to find out which are selected and output the value in the associated textbox next each checkbox as it loops?
Using Studio/VB 2010 here and would like to find out how to approach the following. Examples would also be welcomed as I've not yet tried the progress bar control.
Scenario: A windows form will contain multiple check box controls that will be "auto-checked" as other parts of the user application/interface are completed. I would like to show a progress bar on the form that will give the viewer some idea of what has been completed. For example, 5 of 20 checked-off would show 25% in the progress bar.
