Associating A Class With Each Combo Element

I got the solution as to how I could associate more to the elements within a combo box in VB. NET. (Not understood the code though, which is the reason for this topic)Suppose I wanted to associate each of these with a minimum few attributes while loading the combo, is that possible? .i.e I want An id as well as a count to get associated with each of these elements.1 Apple 192 Guava 123 Tomato 1094 Carrot 9..With only the names appearing in the drop down?? and not the other attributes..

I was wondering if there was a way to get the text out of a site by the class and not the id. I know you can get it with this if the object has an ID

I know that in a WebBrowser you can use Document.GetElementById to find an element by its name attribute, but I want to search the webpage for an element using the id or class atributes, how would it be possible to do this in a WebBrowser? I want to make it click on an image tag.

My program handles XML files that have certain elements within a root-child node that are identical expect for their inner text value. So while populating my combo box with all of a root-child's child element's names I get like five identical items listed. Which brought about the problem of selecting say the third item and getting the value of the first displayed. So I came up with a loop function that determines if the selected combo box item is preceded by one of the same name, if it is, then it adds +1 to a counter variable and keeps checking farther and farther up the list. Once it loops to an item that doesn't have the same name it exits and it reads the Xth (X = counter mentioned earlier) element's inner text from the file. This works great for elements 1, 3, 4, and 5. But not for 2. A while back when I was focused on this problem I discovered the root of the problem but I was unable to circumvent it. I'll put the loop below so you can see the problem in action instead of trying to follow my verbose explanation:

I work in MS Visual Studio 2008, I have a VB.NET Solution which has three Projects, BusinessObjectLibrary (object properties), DataAccessLibrary (object functions such as selectAll, exportToExcel) and WindowUserInterface (UserForms c/w Controls)In my WindowUserInterface (project) I have a form called "rolFormGrid.vb", on this form, I have a DataGrid that gets filled with a function called "selectAll" when the form is loaded, I also have a button that calls the function "exportToExcel" and I have a Progress Bar called "rolProgressBar" ***.
In my DataAccessLibray (project) I have a class called "ROL_Adapter.vb", and in this class resides the function called "exportToExcel" which has all the code to create an Excel Workbook. When this function is being called, it can takes close to a minute to export to excel. We all know how users can be impatient if they do not see anything happening in the foreground when an application is working, that is the reason I want the progress bar.

In my project properties I go to publish, options, and file associations and enter ".cms", "Contact manager File" "pqcms" and "1icon.ico", but when I publish and install it does not appear to associate the files...I want to be able to double click on the file and have it open the program but it does not appear to do so.I believe there are ways to edit the registry if you run your program as an administrator, but I really need clickonce to be happy with me because I am maximizing

I have the following on my interface / webform: <div id="mydiv" class="forceHeight" runat="server" />
now I have a dondition in my code behind where if a certain situation is true I need to remove the forceHeight class from this control. I know in C# you can use:
mydiv.CssClass.Replace("forceHeight", ""); I'm not so sure how you do this using VB? Intellisense doesn't offer me this option?

I get how to do it, and i have been to [URL] before. My question is about what doing that does, is it possible to reverse it? What if you do not know where your program will be, and you are just testing it for now? Is there any way for it to "find" your program, or an easy way to edit where it is opened? For that matter, is it possible to tell if the file has been associated already, is it an issue to try and reassociate? Finally, how can you set the .ico file it uses?

I have a custom control that the User can add to the form. They can add as many of these controls as they like.When they add a control, I am going to populate another custom control, a textbox, in another panel.I need to figure out how to associate that new control with the previous one.So, let's say the User creates 3, let's say "Boxes", three TextBoxes are created. When the User adds something to Box1, TextBox1 needs to be populated a specific string.I know how to create and add the control as needed, but I can't figure out how to associate the controls, if that make sense.In order to distinguish the Boxes, I've added a label to them that represents each iteration of the box. The numbers start at 1 and increase from there.I was thinking I could use that to associate the TextBoxes and am working on that now.

I have a number of rewrite rules for a lot of things that I did in IIS7, like removing trailing slashes, canonnical URLs, lowercase lettering, and such. IIS altered my web.config, and everything works fine on the website, like it should. But in the Visual Studio web.config, the opening < rewrite > statement is underlined in blue, and at the bottom of VS, it says that the element 'system.webServer' has invalid child element 'rewrite'. But this is how IIS made it. I didn't do this manually. Should I be concerned with this VS error, or should I just leave as be, since it's working how it should work? I have been doing well and also I am a noob I know it and you know it a lot has started making sense and I am evening figuring new things out without using Google but of course I have hit another snag in my program so here goes
I am waiting for an email to arrive (the page automatically refreshes) and then I want to click the link (I do not need to click to open the email or anything like that) I also have the code to click and navigate to the address reason being it was the only way I could figure out how to stop it opening in a new window on IE
So my only problem is I need a way to check every x seconds for the element and then if its there proceed with my code and if its not wait and then check again or however this is done in VB.If this is not the way its done please point me in the right direction the code I am using to find and then navigate to the link is

I want to be able to reference an element in an array of structures by the name of the element in a visual basic 2010 function. For example
