Apr 22, 2012Base class has one field to hold numeric balance value. With 2 methods that accept arguments for adding and subtracting the new input calculating new balance. Sub class has four fields dates, transaction, memo and amount.I have a deposit form, and withdraw form. Each time one transaction is entered it creates an object with sub class fields, then adds to the account collection. My problem is not understanding how to call the deposit/withdraw method and pass the current transaction amount back to the base class to alculate the new balance. Does anyone have any links to information/tutorials on how to perform something like this? As you can see with my code I have tried various different approaches without any success.

Oct 18, 2011I need to run a small piece of java code (java is the only option in this case) I have the jar file in the VB.net resources as JSSMCL(the extension is not required to run it, of this I am sure :P) I know I use Path.GetFullPath(My.Resources.ResourceManager.BaseName) but no mater how i do it it fails, i have tried so many ways i have lost count! this is the command that i need to run:
java -cp "JSSMCL.jar" net.minecraft.MinecraftLauncher username false
Call A Subroutine From Javascript - ASP.NET - Java - VB And AJAX?
May 31, 2011I have an ASP.NET application with a button that executes VB.NET on the server when clicked. Specs have changed, I've added a menu of sorts which is to replace the VB button. With some from S.O., I've managed to manipulate some javascript which does a postback and executes the button's code. I figured I could just make the button invisible and still be able to call it's on_click event from js. How wrong I was!
So now, somehow I'm supposed to call a VB sub from either javascript or (boss says) ajax. I have no idea how to do this. Could anyone give me a good direction as to how I can call a VB.NET subroutine from ajax on the client? Or javascript?
Java - Multiple Argument Constructor Cannot Call Each Other Itself
Mar 29, 2012I have recently found out that no argument constructor and multiple argument constructor cannnot call each other in turns. What is the underlying reason of this limitation? Some might say that constructors are where resources are initialised. So they must not be called recursively. I want to know if this is the only reason or not. Functions/methods/procedures can be called recursively.

May 18, 2009In order to call a java class in vb, I found the following procedure and I tried.
(1) create a java class (eg: MyTest .java)
as
public class MyTest
{ public int myfunction(int value1, int value2) { return value1+value2; }
(2) compile to get a MyTest.class
(3)register Mytest.class using javareg.exe file from Microsoft SDK for Java using javareg /register /class:MyTest /progid:MyTest and see a MessageBox displayed with Succesfull register Class message
(4) copy MyTest.class to C:WinntJavaTrustlib
(5) open a New Project on Visual Basic. And paste this brief code on the Form Load event for example and run it. Set x = CreateObject("MyTest") MsgBox x.myfunction(1, 1)
I did all the above steps but when I run the vb program (Step 5), I get the error message "Cannot create ActiveX component". Unhandled Exception message.
I am using Java 1.5 and Visual Studio 2008.

Jan 29, 2011I have a class in java "Main.class", wrote and stored in %TEMP%. When executing the class through VB.Net Shell, eg:
Shell("cmd.exe /k java %TEMP%Main.class")
Also when trying to execute manually through CMD: "java %TEMP%Main.class", I am returned with:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: C:UsersBenAppData
LocalTempMain/class
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: C:UsersBenAppDataLocalTempMai

However, when I execute Main.class manually through compile.bat - the class runs fine. What is the reasoning for this?

I wanted to convert it to VB2008 Forms application, so that its results are displayed in a TextBox and not on the console. The problem is that VB2008 lacks Scanner and StringTokenizer classes, which are in my current Java class. Am not sure how to get the same functionality (or better) in VB2008. Can someone out there help to convert this class.

But, I can't seem to define a specific instance of this method. Using "IntegrationMethod.getIntegrationMode()"always returns a value of zero.
There doesn't appear to be any way to "setIntegrationMode" to a specific value.
The documentatoin for this Class as provided by the vendor are shown below.
