I'm getting a message when I try to import this namespace that "Namespace or type specified in the Imports System.Windows.Media.Imaging doesn't contain any public member or cannot be found. Make sure the namespace or the type is defined etc..."

View 12 RepliesI've just started learning VB.NET with VS 9.0; a small application I'm working on keeps returning an "A first chance exception of type System InvalidOperationException occurred in System Windows Forms dll" error from the Immediate Window. The application has almost zero functionality so far, it consists of a menu strip with:
File About
|Open
|Save
|Save As
|Quit
The only code I have written opens an Open File dialog, a Save As dialog, an About window with background sound and an OK button, and the Quit button which exits.
Since there is almost no code for me to search through, I can't understand why there would be an error. The program runs just fine when I'm debugging it too.
I'm wondering what exactly is the difference System.Timers.Timer and System.Windows.Forms.Timer???

I have a utility that is a simple exe that is not installed compiled with VS2005 and works well. But when I upgraded to VS2008 the utility can no longer locate files in the active system folder. I have UAC turned off and am logged in as the Administrator and it still can not locate a file that I can see in Windows Explorer. The file I am looking for is PakMgr.exe.
