Combining Images Into A Single Graphic Object?

Jul 24, 2010

I am attempting to combine multiple bitmap images into a single graphic object using Drawing.Drawing2D command but am noticing the image quality changes.I tried various combination of these ...

g.InterpolationMode = Drawing2D.InterpolationMode.HighQualityBicubic
g.SmoothingMode = Drawing2D.SmoothingMode.HighQuality
g.PixelOffsetMode = Drawing2D.PixelOffsetMode.HighQuality
g.CompositingQuality = Drawing2D.CompositingQuality.HighQuality

but did not get the "perfect" quality.What I want is one image to be in one region of the graphic object. Another image to be in another region. There is no overlapping of the image regions so essentially I want an source image to be as is in a given region. I noticed an option for "CombineMode" for Drawing2D but cannot figure out if and how to use this to get what I want.

Combining Multiple Projects Into A Single One

Apr 19, 2008

I originally developed a simple application software [VB.Net + MS Access] (Lets call this project A) but now I want to include more functionality in it. I have an encryption/ decryption software utility (Lets call this project B ) and a Text to speech generation utility(Lets call this project C) . That is, I want to add Projects B and C to project A. [Such that clicking on the main form of project A calls a form from project B or C as desired].In solution explorer, I right clicked--Add Existing Project--and added both the above mentioned projects 1 by 1. (Added B and C to the solution explorer with the already present A).As the application software's (Project A's) main form is the main form of my project, I want to have a menu option on the main form (Of Project A) so that a user could click on one of the menu options and the main form of my other projects ( Project B or Project C or Encrypt/Decrypt or Voice Generation) should open by him doing so. To this effect, I tried the following:

1. I dragged the form simply from one of the projects (From B or C ) into the folder of my Application Software (Project A).This generated a lot of Build errors and the Voice Generation utility (Prj. C) would not work like this.

2. Tried to reference a dll, however the authors of Projects B and C did not include a dll in their projects.

3. Now I came to know that to call a form residing in another project folder or even another folder within the same project, you have to give a path for the form. HOW DO WE DO THIS?

As you can understand, I cannot copy the entire code of the 3 projects here....I will try attaching my project here though..Here it is: http: rapidshare.co...MY_Prj.zip.html[Dear Administrator: The downloading option on the webpage does not allow files bigger than I mb, thts why I used an external link]As I said, in the application, Project A is TMS.NET ; Project B is EncryptFile and Project is C.I encountered a problem while adding project C [spoken word], so the project contains only projects B and A. I will try to attach project C seperately.That is, TMS contains proj A+B and Speech contains C.

Combining Two .png Images Into One Image ?

Jan 5, 2011

I have two (actually many) .png images in my application. Both have transparent areas here and there.I want, in my application, to take both images, combine them, and display the result in a picture box. Later I want to save the result through a button.So far I managed to find the two images and combine them, but it seems the transparency thing won't work. I mean, if you put one image over another, only the top image is visible as the result because, apparently, the image's background is a plain white box. Which is not. Here is a bit of my code:

Dim Result As New Bitmap(96, 128)
Dim g As Graphics = Graphics.FromImage(Result)
Dim Name As String[code]....

resourcesPath is the path to my resources folder. Bases is a folder in it. And Name is the image's name.

Interface And Graphics :: XNA Graphic With A Graphic?

Jan 14, 2010

I'm trying to make a mini map for a 2d space shooter of mine; I've for the math down (I think) for when an item should appear on the mini map, but the problem is the graphic. As it stands, the graphic spills over the edge of the mini map graphic and disappears only when it's fully outside. I need it to crop the image, or at least not show it off the mini map graphic.I thought of using the sourcerect rectangle of the spritebatch.draw, but it seems to me that would only work for the right and bottom section, as I can adjust the size of the rectangle. I haven't tried this yet, but I will soon. Can the location of the source rectangle be changed in relation to the graphic that it is a part of being drawn so that I can use that to crop the left and top sides?

Scan Images And Combine To A Single Multipage Tif File?

Jan 6, 2012

I had a related question running on this in a different thread,but I was told to start a new thread since the original had gotten off the original topic. I am trying to scan multiple pages from an Automatic Document Feeder Scanner and combine them to a singlemulti-page tif file. I am using two different third party libraries to do this.The first library I am using is to scan the documents. It saves the files to the local hard drive as single page tif files. This library returns the file-names as they were saved on the hard drive. This part seems to be working as advertised. The sourcefor this including a video on how to use it is at:

Dim FileNames As Collection
Dim FileArray As New List(Of String)
Dim Mergename as String

Display A List (Of Object) Which Has Single Objects And Child List (Of Object)?

Sep 6, 2011

Limited to using v2.0 of .Net framework (we use VB.net) due to environmental constraints on our servers.I've got an ASP.net webpage which pulls data from a webservice that performs checks on user accounts in active directory. Operators can check multiple accounts at one time using the web interface. The webservice returns a list(of AccountCheck) objects which themselves contain single properties like username, email address, and List(of AccountError) objects which contain multiple properties.[code]What I want to do is using some kind of repeater, create multiple panels or divs which contain labels showing the username, email etc, and a gridview which has the accounterror list bound to it to show all the errors. The users could be checking 2, 5, 7 accounts at once, and is dynamic.

Public Class Form1
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
WebBrowser1.Navigate(New Uri("http:google.co.uk"))
End Sub
End Class

I have found some C# code, but i dont know how to change it to VB.Net and the convertors make some bugs, which i do not know how to fix

Software i am using:

Windows XP SP3
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005

LINQ Return Single Type Of Object Invalid Cast

Jun 29, 2010

Ok, just needing a 2nd set of eyes looking at this to make sure the error isn't something else other than my LINQ code here. Here's the function class itself:

Public Function GetJacketByPolicyID(ByVal jacketID As Int32) As tblPolicy
Dim db As New DEVDataContext()
Dim j As tblPolicy = db.tblPolicies.Single(Function(p) p.policyNumber = jacketID)
Return j
End Function

and here is the code which calls this class function in the web control form itself:

Dim p As tblPolicy
Dim j As New Jackets()
p = j.GetJacketByPolicyID(3000050)

For some reason it's flagging the 2nd line in the GetJacketByPolicyID function saying the specified cast is not valid. So I'm guessing it's something I'm doing wrong. I'm sure the tblPolicy/tblPolicies class works right since I can create a new instance of a tblPolicy and set a few variables by hand and return it, so that's not it. I've also checked the datarow I'm fetching and there's no null values in the record, so that shouldn't be it either.

VS 2008 : Binding Single Object To DataGridView, Update From 2nd Thread?

Oct 15, 2010

With the DataGridView I'm used to just populate them with a list of some object, using the DataSource property. Now I want to just display properties from a single object, and I'm a bit confused on how to do it.. The object is updated through an API event, and I want to select some of the properties for displaying in the DataGridView, to look like this:.where "ValueX" is the name of the properties.Now, what would be my options for binding this to the DataGridView, such that property changes are automatically updated. Since an update also must invoke the control, does that mean I must reassign all bindings, or what logic is necessary in this case?

should I bind to an array, arrayList, stringList, dataTable etc? I guess I'm not sure which type of source will allow binding. Or if I should perhaps build the columns and cells of the grid and populate them "one-by-one" to the properties of the object?

Querying A Single Column And Displaying All Results In A Single Textbox?

Sep 5, 2010

I am trying to make a list, separated by a comma, of entries from a single column in a SQL database. I have been spending the last several days searching for a way to do this, but every thing I found either didn't work, or wasn't exactly what I was looking for.

The query will pull all the email address that are not null. What I need to know is how to take the result of that query and make it look like this:

email0@address.com, email1@address.com, email2@address.com, etc, etc, ...

I feel like I should know this, but for the life of me, I can't remember nor can I find it in any of the textbooks I have.

I am using Visual Basic 2010 and SQL Server 2005. I also have access to Visual Basic 2005 if needed.

Drawbacks Of Combining C# And .NET?

Apr 28, 2012

I'm a long time VB.NET developer and has recently switched to C#. I found out that some of the built-in VB.NET functions (which predates .NET back to 6.0 and BASIC itself) such as the String.Left, or Right, or advanced functions like saving to the registry (SaveSettings and GetSettings) are noticeably absent. What I did was create a new project in the same solution with VB.NET as its language and recreate basically all the functions I need that are available in VB.NET. And then I just call that to the C# code I'm writing.Since compiling the code in .NET pretty much boils down to the same CIL, it shouldn't matter performance-wise what language I wrote the code in or whether I mix C# with VB.
